The juicy Couture handbags have the option of attaching a long purse strap as you can see is attached below.. some use the long strap.. some do not.. depends on personal preference..

My oldest daughter has the same type JC but a different color. To me it's an over-sized handbag. She carries her one notebook in it but it would be a very tight fit if she had clothes in it and i doubt she could fit a HS sized textbook, not even one.

Yes, it is definitely what I would call an oversized purse.

That was the words I was looking for...thanks Dee.

Our granddaughter doesnt use the shoulder strap but it came with it.

Most bags like this have an optional shoulder strap as well. This bag is very similar and in the description has a shoulder strap, but one isn't shown in the picture.

I think that just because the stock website picture doesn't show a shoulder strap it doesn't mean her purse didn't have one.

I'll ask my daughter if one came with hers, i don't think so but i notice that they have what they call a "Crossbody bag".

The one I linked that has a shoulder strap is described as a handbag. Size maybe?

JMO

Maybe. I'm just not sure.
So this is THE bag and in addition to two handles, she had possibly attached the shoulder strap? That would be bulky at the top.
And it appears a much thinner strap in that pic also than these two handles.
But, it seems to be the same shade of pink.

Maybe she had another pink bag.
I don't know.

That bag cannot hold school books...My Opinion! I've seen pics with her carrying a silver/grey hobo type bag.(over the shoulder) and appropriate for school and even matches her outfit. I imagine she had many bags but I certainly wouldn't take a juicy bag and have to put it on the floor at school. Her mother should be familiar with the exact bag. Are there any PICS of SL with it?

Yes houndstooth for all we know she had several different bags.. which I'm certain she did.. I do believe the bag I posted is the correct one and just as oceanblueyes. Stated her granddaughter has the same bag that came with the additional long strap but that she chooses not to use it..

Depends on the size of the book(s). Zipped or not. IF not zipped, makes it easier for the book(s) to come out and be found nearby. My Opinion!

I see.

This bag is a little different than the other, but I guess the effect is the same.
Thanks.

Still not sure what the designation was all about unless handbags have an option and shoulder bags don't.

IMO. That Juicy bag was placed there, not thrown there.. By a female.. Full of rage at Sierra... A jealous rage...
perhaps she placed the bag there in hopes to return to the crime one day and have the bag for herself???
I can't see a male "placing" a bag ... I can see a male chucking the bag... But not secreting a bag... That to me screams female.... Neat, tidy, hidden...
The kidnapper obviously did not go through the contents of the purse... Otherwise in haste, the contents should have been not organized and "neatly folded" IMO...

boy, I sure miss the astrology forum where there is a case like this!

I don't see any rings on the other one to attach the strap.

It is really more roomy than it looks on here, Whisperer.

I really do think it could hold them.

The books couldnt have been thrownout seperately because of their heavier weight they would have landed in a different place and not in the exact same place wedged between the shed and the cactus.

The police sure dont believe Sierra put them there because they say she was abducted. No abductor is going to let their victim run around hiding their own clothes, purse and books, imo. Plus if that had happened the dogs would have alerted to Sierra's fresh scent where she had walked.

Is that the same bag that held her clothes as well? So she had clothes and books in the Juicy Bag?

I really appreciate your approach, ~n/t~, because it is exploratory. Certainly, the J.C. bag could have been dropped or thrown where a field worker found it exposed & thought to place it where it wouldn't be trampled or run over. Your point being, more than one person who didn't own it, handled it. I had a couple of other ideas, posted in Thread #6. The bag & its contents and where it was discovered are startling evidence, if we can only interpret it.

Will go check out your posts. :)

I am not ruling out that some mean girls may have taken Sierra and done horrible things to her but I dont think the bag was placed there as if someone walked up and put it there. If you look at the map of the area, I think this is where the purse just happened to land when thrown from the vehicle. I just dont see anyone getting out to hide the purse and taking a chance of being seen. It wouldnt be necessary anyway. They threw it out where they saw the cactus bush and it landed behind it and between the building and the cactus.

Not in mine either but is that what is being alleged? She had books and clothes in there and make up and whatever else a 15 year old carries? Do we know for sure what was in the Juicy bag or are they not releasing that info? TIA

No self respecting Diva would use that strap. So she carried this in her hand with schoolbooks in the other.

My opinion is she didn't. It is not the type of bag you would carry going to school. Whatever happened to backpacks?

That bag bugs the heck out of me and just doesn't fit...nor do its contents.:banghead:
