I've been thinking maybe Sierra was surprised that morning by a knock at the door? She knows the perp, let's her/him in. The perp then takes control, right there in the house.. Sieras scent is left in the driveway not because she walked out of that house, but because she was dragged out. maybe she was already hurt or drugged by this point. this would be why LE finds no shoes or socks? because there never was any? Maybe Sierra was dragged away in her PJ's??

none of the above is fact. I am just trying to think of other ideas...

In my crazy mind :crosseyed: the only thing that makes any sense to me is the perp had to know her schedule, stalked her to know where she lived, or knew her address and her schedule. Unless the perp had/does work or live very close to her home. For me this rules out the random person at McDonalds or Disneyland.

Now, if she actually had made it to the bus stop, I could see someone driving by and on impulse grabbing her.

For me that is the biggest mystery of this case. Did it happen in her home, near her home or nearer to the bus stop?

I do happen to think this perp lives near her somehow. The throwing of the phone and then the placement of the purse makes me think this is done by someone right in that area, but, of course, I could be wrong.

LE is doing a great job in this case and I do not feel that this will be an unsolved case. I think they will find Sierra and I have a feeling that they may have their suspicions on who may have done this.

Kudos to them and MK...they are working deligently!

Long shot my behind! CALL THIS IN! It really looks/reads like him and if he moved from Texas to California, it might be because those are places where hispanic males blend in more easily than say, Wisconsin or Montana. Plus if he is a farm worker, he'd go where the work is, apparently that would include CA.

I sent the tip on on their website last night.. I will keep you guys posted. It is a pretty awesome website for submitting tips - they give a password so that you can log back into the 'progress' of your tip. They ask you additional qauestions, and tell you when is it 'closed', etc.

It sure would be interesting to know if there was unknown DNA found in the house.

I also wonder if after the mom left the door was left unlocked. Perhaps there wasn't a knock, but someone lurked into the house unsuspecting.

There was a quote on the previous page here, I think, that they were asking who they would suspect, if their daughter was the one missing, from the neighborhood....
Yes, in my opinion, I think it's a good idea to use extra hands. It's like a door to door survey. Hey, if it helps Klaas narrow down a suspect, then do it!

I have bought about that too. I don't think any strange DNA was in the house, but, that is because the perp is an aquaaintence maybe to mom or bf. Maybe the perp has visits the home before so her/his DNA would not be suspicious to LE.

Yes, I would love to know if Merlene locked the door when she left...

With Twitter if you don't protect your tweets anyone can follow you. I've had to protect my tweets more than half a dozen times in the last year as I had some wackos following me. However no one will know where you live unless you write it on your account for public which you would never do. So I'm quite sure just from following Sierra that no one would ever know where she lived unless some detail was mentioned in a tweet like the school she went to....then that could have been a way for someone to watch her comings and goings. I did notice when I lo
oked at her account that she has more than 3,000 followers! I've been on Twitter for over two years and only have 95 followers as I would close off every now and then and protect my tweets.....you usually find public figures with this type of following so who knows the types of people who were following her and the reason would be due to the content.

If she takes a photo of herself on her phone from her house and the gps is activated on her phone a perp can get a location via the Internet. It is very easy these days.

I suspect the cats got left behind when one of the families in the area moved. Probably not intentionally left, but probably already pregnant, explaining why the kittens are pure siamese. That would also explain their comfort level around humans and fondness for meow mix. If the kittens were tiny enough to "stay put" at the time LE was there, the momma could have been with them, or have appeared to be a well-nourished, cared for cat belonging to a neighbor. I agree that gaetnosleuth408 was on the ball to have noticed that it was not just the one cat and that they lived there.

The purse by the cats still bugs me... Is it possible Sierra was taking care of those cats? Is it possible that instead of being abducted she was running away and went to visit her cats before leaving the area... leaving her purse there so her cats would be noticed? Leaving her purse there as something of herself since she's been watching them?
Might have taken off with someone older and that someone is now in fear of being charged with taking a minor and/or more... she might be in fear too...
Also, in looking at the timeline posted back a bit, she was missing so long without anyone noticing - no friends at school asking where is she, no one checking in on her... seems a possible emptiness there and maybe started a relationship under the radar...

Well it's a long shot, I grant you, but at least she's okay if so...

You mean if she posts the picture on FB or Twitter?

True....that is why gps should never be activated for twitter or Facebook and parents of teens should monitor this effort!

Were those cats that close to her house. I thought they were a distance away. tia

They need to find out who is feeding those cats unless it just happens to be one of the searchers that ran across them and started feeding them after the purse was found. If the fields weren't being worked in that area there really would be no reason for anyone to be at that building. So I find it odd if someone was feeding the cats there and the purse was also found there.

I agree, especially since the kittens look to be 6 weeks old. I'm still amazed that purebred Siamese cats (the kittens are, too) would be living there homeless. Someone is feeding them so it would be helpful to ascertain when the mama cat was dumped. Someone has valuable, IMO, information if s/he has been feeding the cats for at least a month.

Heck, I paid $450 for my kitten last summer who was born in Morgan Hill, although the breeder livedin an older part of MH. I called the breeder last week... She moved to Paradise in September.

I agree and I'm sure someone sent this in as a tip...I'm 100% sure!

Does Sierra have a flickr account? Has anyone found an account there for her?

As far as feeding the cats. I think anyone who has to go down that road to return home or to visit at the business or home at the end of Laguna might see them and begin feeding them daily. I live rural and saw a momma cat and her kittens living in a drain pipe area. I fed them daily. Traveled there specifically to feed them. I also adopted a kitten, got Momma to the humane society and the other two that survived got homes. I used Have a Heart trap after got them to trust eating ....So many people love animals, if they were noticed, could be anyone that loves cats.

Re: The feral/abandoned cat and kitten focus.

Did Sierra ever tell her mom or anyone that she saw the cats there and would visit them?

Can someone enlighten me as to where that was on her route to catch the bus? Thank you.

Personally, I don't see any connection with Sierra herself tending to the cats. It was to far from home. The fact that someone has been feeding the cats and her purse was discarded there might have something to do with her disappearance.
