From what I understand it was a love triangle. The shooter and his (ex) wife got a divorce and she recently went back to court in order to change the child suppor. I don’t know how the 3rd, 4th, and 5th victim are involved exactly. I believe the 3rd victim also worked at T&T trucking along with the first victim. The shooter specifically went to the house on Breckinridge road and from witnesses was targeting Eliseo but his daughter Laura got in the way so he ended up shooting her too.

I really wish they'd find a way to cope with their problems other than murder and suicide. :(

WOW, after reading that, one can see a crime just waiting to happen, IMO. So tragic.
It's especially heartbreaking when a victim of DV finally escapes the relationship and then he hunts her down and executes her. This man sounds paranoid and controlling. The only explanation for the other killings that I can think of, especially if they were strangers, is that when certain people are mad at someone else they are mad at the world. I guess when things don't go their way, they blame everyone else. JMO

We'd need a complete overhaul of our mental health care system to address people's rage/anger issues.
I'm all for it and keeping firearms out of the mentally unstable/abusers hands also.

No one can stop a violent ex either. A protection order is just a piece of paper, LE rarely can stop the abuser from continuing to harras or even kill. Laws need to change they protect abusers.

Love triangle could be motive in Bakersfield shooting rampage, witness says
By HANNAH FRY and ALENE TCHEKMEDYIAN
SEP 13, 2018 | 3:20 PM

A gunman killed five people in back-to-back shootings in Bakersfield. And then killed himself .
<modsnipped >

The shootings occurred at multiple locations spanning roughly three miles beginning shortly before 5:20 p.m. Wednesday. That’s when the gunman, identified by authorities as Javier Casarez, 54, opened fire on his ex-wife, Petra Maribel Bolaños De Casarez, 45, and Manuel Contreras, 50, inside the T&T Trucking company on Manwell Boulevard and killed them both.

If she was involved with 1 employee during the estranged (divorce proceeding) marriage: Then why did he kill 3 others before killing himself.

He chased the 3rd victim down and shot the 4th victim while also killing the daughter because she was protecting her dad.

So unless his wife slept with all 3 guys; Then why kill all 3?

Was he mad because they all lied to him about her involvement with the other co worker or what?
