Rehab for drunk father who threw 7-year-old son off boat

Sloan Briles, 35, and a former Marine, was sentenced to three years of probation, 180 days in a Veterans Administration residential treatment program and one year in a child abusers treatment
He pleaded guilty Monday to throwing his son into the busy harbor waters Aug. 28.

Probation? Rehab? No jail??? Unbelievable-no wonder there is such a HIGH rate of child abuse-people aren;t afraid to abuse their children (or somebody else's).
