Yes, her car was found by the Police in the shopping center parking lot, but Law Enforcement won't tell the family where it was parked, nor specifics about her car, other than it was found in the parking lot, unlocked, with her purse in the vehicle.

That seems strange. moo. Wonder if the seat was in the appropriate position for her height ? Wonder if LE dusted for prints ? What would be some reasons for LE not telling the family what they found ? Does LE know, or suspect family involvement ? jmo

The strange thing with Susan's case is, Susan has Not been found on Video anywhere. It's as if she never arrived at the shopping center....but her car did.

Agreed. One would think that with her car being found, there would be SOMETHING on video. No Susan or from what we know, no signs of anyone related to her disappearance.

http://www.thepresstribune.com/article/video-surveillance-has-not-unwrapped-mystery-susan-jacobson

I know that she was looking forward to her grandbaby being born but I still do think that a strong possibiliy is suicide. There was another similar case (not to always compare here!!) where a woman in Canada (Sandra Mykytiuk-Evans) went missing for months. Again, husband was suspected as well as other random foul play scenarios. Turned out, most likely she had harmed herself and was found in a river.

http://globalnews.ca/news/549753/body-found-in-bow-river-identified-as-missing-mother/

Because her wallet was found randomly by the jogger and no credit cards have been used, robbery doesn't seem to be the motive.

If she wasn't accosted by a random perp. in the parking lot, what could the motive be for anyone harming her? Especially if it was someone close to her? Thoughts?

This case has stumped me from day one. Looking for a motive, but can't find one (of course, I am not privvy to her personal life). Wallet found, CC missing but not used. No confirmed sightings or video. No witnesses. No clues discovered (items of clothing, etc.). Susan would have been found by now had she decided to disappear herself (trying to be delicate here). This has been one dead end after another.

For those who have been reading here from the beginning, maybe you can answer these!

Did anything ever come about or was it discussed further about the area that the tracking dogs picked up Susan's scent back in June?

It looks like her car was parked down this main aisle, a littles way back.

(I don't know how to post pictures but if you go to the FB page, there are a series of pictures of where her car was found - it helped me a little envision the area, etc.)

Consider me as confused about the lack of publicity as anyone else. I live within about 5 miles of the shopping center, and as a matter of fact, have been spending an inordinate amount of time at Mahany Park for little league baseball tournaments lately, and I haven't seen a single thing about Susan. I don't get the lack of information to the public, no matter what the circumstances of her disappearance are...

I recall some recent indication that perhaps the family had secured the services of an private investigator? Anybody have info about that - I would assume somebody would be canvassing the Raley's employees and maybe even others who might have been working in the vicinity (although the Starbucks is not exactly in an easy line of vision of the Raley's parking lot)...

This is great, but has the family posted flyers around the city? If they are hoping others will do it for them and there aren't many people showing up to take the flyers, then Again Little Exposure for Susan.

I think "the family" is kjac and his dad. Kjac doesn't live in the area and has a newborn baby. From what he has reported his mom and dad are private people and haven't lived in the area all that long. I don't know what they are hoping, but I'm hoping that people there will help them out. If I didn't live thousands of miles away I would.

not picking on you treelights! just pointing out that it seems like this small family without a wide social network needs help from the local community.

Good point. I guess we know for sure the car got there, but we don't know how, or if the car's even on camera arriving there.

The private investigator must really be private...

Unfortunately I still feel really bad and couldn't make it over there... ugh. Hoping I can do it later today if things improve, or tomorrow. (I've had this stomach thing come and go for literally years, but it rarely lasts more than 2 days in a row, so fingers crossed)

Wish I knew where this stack of flyers is located so I could grab some when I feel better. I can print some, but I imagine whatever the family has is probably better quality and more weather-proof than what I print on my inkjet.

Kjac if you happen to log on, can you help out with more info on where these flyers are? Anyone specific to talk to in order to get some of them?

No, this is where KJAC THINKS the car was parked. He himself does not know and neither does the family. He said so himself, so putting up photos of where he THINKS she parked doesn't help at all when that might not be true at all. Period.

I don't know answers but didn't want to ignore your post since I've been reading along the whole time.

Tracking dogs - nothing further that I know of besides what was posted here. There's also a map on the FB page showing the trail the dogs found. Sounds like you found the FB page, so you probably saw those. We did discuss it some here, but never heard more related to our questions that I know of.

ETA: Treelights, saw that you answered already about the car info.

Having help from the Community is a wonderful thing, I am not disputing any of that.
What I fail to understand is the lack of searching, and lack of media exposure, that STARTS with the family.
I am fully aware of this whole case!!
I am done with it.!!
And I forgot to add
IN MY OPINION ONLY.

Thanks NikB. Yes, I did look over the FB page.. Was just hoping that more was figured out. Seems like a big deal that dogs found her scent and then nothing else really found.

I would have gotten hold of some really experienced dogs at that point, somehow. There are lots of rescue groups in CA, surely someone would have come and checked out that "hit" to verify it.

Isn't Marc Klaas out of Northern CA.? I know he doesn't just offer help to parents of missing kids...he has tried to help families with missing adults too. Maybe contact Klaas Kids, at least for ideas on attracting media?

One more thing to add,
IF Susan was my mom, or if this was my spouse,
I would YELL FROM ALL CORNERS OF THE EARTH TO BRING MY MOM
HOME/SPOUSE HOME!!!!!
Where is the PLEA for her return?????????????????
Nothing. NO PLEA!!!!!!!
The husband believes foul play happened, but I haven't heard a plea from him to
return his wife. He justs hopes she will "walk" right back on up here. Now that his schedule has changed because Susan is not there,
HE CAN GET OUT TO THE MEDIA, GO TO CHURCHES, ANYWHERE.
This is why this case UPSETS me so much.
This is why I don't have anymore to say, because what I want to say I cannot.
But for Pete's Sake, atleast plea to the abductor.
Or is it because they know she Is dead?????????

And ALL THE GOOD IDEAS TO HELP, LIKE IN PARTICULAR NAMUS, SHE IS STILL NOT ON NAMUS.
AND OTHER THINGS THAT I PERSONALLY HAVE TRIED TO HELP AND HAVE QUESTIONS, BUT THE QUESTIONS WERE EVADED.
WHEN PEOPLE TRY TO HELP, BUT THERE IS RESISTANCE, I WONDER WHY. WHY? WHY?!!!!!

I feel so bad that LE has pretty much given up the search for Susan. She's a wife, mother and grandmother. She deserves for someone to find out what happened to her. No matter what the outcome, she needs to be found and the family needs answers. IMO

Yeah, the media's not exactly going to act on a call from some random woman who happens to know about this case, sadly. It has to come from the family, I think.

Due to physical limitations I can't help with searching in difficult terrain, but I can certainly help with putting up flyers and such in flatter areas, the fair, etc. There's this weird resistance (IMO) to doing anything like that. How is it that those of us who've tried aren't even hearing back from people? Or when we do it's a really generic message?

I've said it before, the silence is deafening! And it should NOT be this hard to publicize the fact that a woman is missing and may be in need of help. Actually as hard as it is to say, I doubt she's in need of help now... but she might be! And regardless she deserves to be found.

I agree! Even when they've got great dogs, it seems to help to have a second or third dog to verify the scent trail. One dog following a trail is helpful, but if you've got two or three following the same trail that really seals it, for me.

Marc Klaas I think is from the bay area in Northern CA. Based on this, Sausalito: http://www.klaaskids.org/contactus.html. Depending on traffic, it's around 2-3 hours away. I think it's a great idea to see if he/his organization will help.

I submitted the case to NAMUS. I didn't have all the information but I had enough to submit. I'll see what happens next.
