Thank you for keeping this thread alive, I worry about Susan and the things I believe are being swept under the rug in order to avoid offending family members. Someone close to her knows exactly where Susan is, IMO.

When nobody will speak up after the first month or so, and the search just stops, I know what you are saying.

Bingo! I agree 100% with both of you. Hinky from the start, IMHO. And I state this based on circumstantial evidence, the fact her car and purse were obviously staged, no sightings on surveillance tapes, and overall behaviors....

Who stopped speaking and searching after the first month or so? Law enforcement? I'm not sure about that.

If you know of any more reports or searches, please let us know.

Thanks for doing that! With the 1 year anniversary coming up somewhat soon, it seems like a good time to start asking for updates. I hope it at least helps raise awareness again.

She hasn't answered me. Oh well.

I don't know of any reports in MSM of searches by LE or anyone else. I wish that LE would let us know more about their investigation into Susan's disappearance.

I did receive a reply from the journalist I e-mailed the other day. He said they check in with RPD monthly and told there is nothing new. They will consider a story for the one-year mark. Sounds like they will do it. I can't figure out how to paste the email, but that was basically the extent of ot.

Yay for you. The one I emailed never replied to me. Hopefully the story will remind people that there is a woman missing!

I do wonder why there haven't been any more searches by LE. Either they have searched more and they haven't told the public, Or maybe there is reason to think that she is not in the area,( by perhaps searching the areas that she could have gone to from the shopping center, maybe deductive reasoning is she isn't/wasn't in the area to begin with, in my opinion.)

I found a website that has several photos of a woman and her k9 search dog along with a private investigator, and it mentions under the photo of the work search party for Susan Jacobson missing from Roseville, California. There are several photos, but no discussion of what the dogs did or did not do in the search for Susan Jacobson. There is a more recent article on that website of another case with lots of info. In fact there are several cases with lots of info, but Nothing on Susan Jacobson.
I wonder if this could be the PI they hired?
If this is the same k9 search person that the Facebook for Susan Jacobson mentioned, they did not update at all on their own website about Susan. On the Facebook page for Susan, the administrator mentions the dogs tracked a scent to the aquatics center across from the shopping center, but there is no mention of that at all for this k9 search website, so perhaps it is not the same one??
I don't know if I am allowed to post the website because it is a person's website, not a news article, MSM.
This case is so sad!!!!

Gah I'm totally blanking on her name but she used to post here sometimes - she may still but I haven't seen her post in awhile. She didn't post anything in Susan's case as far as I know, but I am fairly sure I know who you're referring to and first became familiar with her through the Linnea Lomax case. If it's the same person, she's not a PI. I'll try to find her WS username again.

No, she is not listed as a PI. The man in the photos with her and the k9 search dog, he is the PI, and in fact she lists His name on her website. She only lists her first name on the website for her e-mail address, but his name is in full with a website address for him.
She does mention the Linnea Lomax case.

I'm another one who wonders if Susan Jacobson really went to the shopping center that morning or when she was last seen by someone else besides her husband. When was the last time she talked to someone? We have a date that she was reported, but that doesn't necessarily mean it was the day she disappeared.

Wonder if there is any video of her prior to her disappearance date.

This is driving me crazy too. I'm not even necessarily doubting anyone, I just want to know who ELSE talked to her last. If she went to the store, surely she made small talk with a clerk. If she talked to her sister almost every day, when was the last day her sister talked to her? Does a neighbor remember waving at her on her way by? ANYthing?

I thought and hoped they checked cameras that may have been on Susan's route to that store. Never heard if they did or didn't. Never heard what LE saw on cameras in the parking lot. Never heard what they did when said dogs tracked her across the road. Did they think she got in a car and that stopped the tracking? What areas around there were searched? No answers, no speculations, no info.

Maybe. But wasn't it said that Susan is a basically shy person, not really very outgoing?? If that is true, I am not so sure she would have talked to anyone, not even a clerk at a store. Reason I say this is, I am by no means shy nor withdrawn, but it depends entirely on my mood that day whether I talk to people when out and about. I can buy a whole 2 weeks' worth of groceries and never exchange 3 words with the clerk. Some days I just don't feel like talking. Other days, depending on which checker I get, we will talk the whole time I'm checking out.

Also, even if she is a regular customer, if there is a new clerk, they may not remember her because she is basically shy. When you see hundreds of people every day, it's hard to remember one individual, unless they are unique in some way. Even if she did stand out for some reason, a clerk may not remember specifically which day she saw her.

It wasn't very far - there wouldn't be very many cameras, IMO. On the FB page they said nothing on the few cameras that were there in the parking lot. I never heard what they thought happened once the dogs lost the scent, either. :(

Very true, they said she was shy but I wish we'd hear even that from someone else who knows her - coworker, neighbor, etc. I suppose that's an oxymoron, but I wonder if she's one of those "friendly with acquaintances but shy with anyone else" type of people. I'm kind of that way, so that's probably why I wonder.

I was thinking about the store clerks today too, it'd probably be very hard for a clerk to remember exactly when they last saw her. I can see them thinking "oh she looks familiar" but maybe not the last visit. But can't there be something more when it comes to finding her? Raley's does have a rewards type program... it was pretty new at the time she went missing but if she was signed up for that, can they check her phone # and see if she was there that day or when she was last there?

For some reason with the year 'anniversary' coming up I'm feeling even more urgency to find her.

Once in a while, I go to the grocery store at 6am, if I haven't slept, i.e
I am generally the only person in the store, besides cashiers and stockers.
If she made it it into the store, I think she would be remembered. Jmo.

I'm thankful I'm not the only one that shops at seriously weird hours depending on circumstances. I wish we knew more about Susan's shopping habits. I don't know how much it'd help us in finding her now but it'd sure help with figuring out exactly when, where, and how she disapppeared. (IMO and all)
