Yeh, base on when the child was born in relationship to Susan's disappearance, the child should be starting school.

It still boggles my mind that her family did just about nothing to find her. I think that's why this case has stuck with me. Who does that?

EXACTLY! It's hard not to judge - really hard sometimes.

Yeah, um, (cough cough) Bob Harrod (cough cough) hard not to judge.
If Susan was my partner, you’d not be able to hear anything else for my shouting!

I still wonder what happened to Susan! I hope that one day we will find out.

I would love to know where in the parking lot they found her car. The parking lot isn’t a very big one to begin with. The farther away from Raleys and the Starbucks strip, the closer it is to the sidewalks where kids are walking to the high school. This case is so strange. If the dogs tracked her across the street from Starbucks that would be Mahany Park area which has the City of Roseville gym and library area. There isn’t anything but houses (gated communities) on the other two street corner/sides. Did she run away? Did someone pick her up on the other side? Is that why her family hasn’t said or done much? What do they know? Maybe things weren’t as they appeared? So many questions...

Suglo - at the beginning of this case I do believe there was a picture of "where" her car was parked.
I know they did a search in that area across the street.

I too hope we find out what happened to Susan one day....

Wonder why her family is not asking for help? :(

I’m going to spend some time going through all 3 threads here. Hopefully that picture is still available. There’s an ecological type sanctuary across the street and behind the high school/Mahany Park area. The thing is that kids go back there all the time. They even hold some biology classes out there. My daughter used to lead tours for younger elementary school children as part of her AP biology class so I’m sure she’s not out there. Ugh. I really hope we find out what happened to her also! The lack of family involvement is certainly a red flag for me. Also, it’s not like the Roseville PD and city don’t have resources to do an in depth investigation. It’s not a poor town. I could just ramble on all day long about this case

I used to live in Auburn up the hill. So I know Roseville some what - I used to work for HP there.

Can't believe she's been gone 6 years - and absolutely no one in her family wants to know where she is - I don't think I could stop looking. I know her son was on here in the beginning, but never came back....

So Susan's grandbaby is 6 now???

I am family to Susan. Please stop judging. It is easy to say "this is what I would do or be doing", but you do not know what Susan's husband and son have been doing to find Susan; and they have done a lot at their own personal expense. We all want Susan to come home, especially her husband. Susan and family have always been private people. Susan's husband is still at their home and will not move because he is hoping his wife will come home and he wants to be there for her. None of us know what happened, but we have imagined the best and worst case scenarios; we hope for the best and we pray that the worst has not happened. Unfortunately, at the beginning, the police did not consider this case a possible abduction, but a wife leaving her husband. Susan's husband insisted Susan did not leave on her own and pressed this issue with the police. From the family's point of view, there were several missteps by the police at the start of this case that delayed a serious police investigation. Unfortunately, there are many aspects of Susan's disappearance that have not and cannot be made public. This situation was not, has not and will never be easy on Susan's family. We all want resolution but, most importantly, we would love to have Susan back in our circle. We grieve daily for Susan and the joy she would have experienced with her expanding family. As far as "absolutely no one in her family wants to know where she is" - this a nasty comment. All of Susan's family and extended family want to know what happened. How does "I used to live in Auburn, so I know Roseville somewhat" give you insight as to how Susan's family is coping with her disappearance. Please show some compassion.

Why did her husband refuse a lie detector test?

Why did her husband need to have an attorney advising him?

Why are you defensive of the family but not of Susan?

Many families and friends post on the threads, utilize the experts, find members willing to help search, post flyers, research unidentified, and even analyze satellite photos.

Here is the WS link of resources for family of the missing:

Families of the Missing-Resources, helps, tips

Rereading the thread the poster's compassion is for Susan, they hurt for Susan- the lost person.

Family and friends who presented themselves in public or on WS to receive compassion and help would certainly be embraced.

all imo

As I said, not all details of Susan's disappearance have been made public. I am defensive of Susan, the family and the whole situation. It is easy to be critical, but no one on this site know the complete details of the police investigation or the family. The family has a right to their privacy. Would you prefer to see an article in People magazine so you can criticize for someone making a profit over Susan's disappearance? Why does everything need to be made public to satisfy everyone's morbid curiosity? "You either have to be part of the solution, or you're going to be part of the problem." If you have a suggestion or a tip you can offer, please contact the police.

"You either have to be part of the solution, or you're going to be part of the problem."

RSBM: Sad to see anyone here who has a direct connection to a sad case on WS, @Cathy C. We are a mix of folks with varying levels of interest, education, expertise, empathy, etc. - just like anywhere. We are all doing the best we can.

I beg to differ that the bolded in your quoted post are the only 2 options, but certainly understand your sentiment.

And sorta O/T - no one should take a polygraph exam. Ever. Never ever ever. Under ANY circumstances. No lawyer worth her salt would EVER suggest, allow, or condone it. Actions speak much louder than words anyway.

I appreciate your reminder than no one has any right to know everything and LE has no responsibility to share anything. That said, oftentimes it's those untold details that tell a lot.

Peace to you.
