She remains in jail on $2 million bail. This is L.A. County so one must be very patient, as this might drag on for years before an actual trial is held.

Par for the course. I would be pleasantly surprised if this comes to trial in three more years. This is California. Usually in a case like this there are hundreds of court hearings, motions, continuances, delays, etc etc.
At least she's in jail and not going anywhere. I feel bad for the grieving family of Mrs. Leeds. This was a cruel and vicious crime.

Sentencing for Cherie Townsend now set for February 6th.
Eight family members of victim Susan Leeds have asked the judge to impose the maximum of 26 years to life.
