CHICO, Calif. - A Chico woman went missing Monday night while out at dinner with her family.

Tatiana Mederios, 25, has down syndrome, and Chico Police say she may act like a young child. She was with her family at Olive Garden around 7:20 p.m. on Business Lane just off East 20th Street in Chico.

She was last seen wearing a blue dress, white shoes, and has dark brown curly hair that was in a ponytail.

Glad to see the same night response/alert. What time is it there now? How many are out searching now? Hope she is found. Optimistic, but time is of essence!

It's just after 10 PM in Chico. So it hasn't been too long but I'm also glad they sounded the alarm right away. Hope she will be found safe!

Were they at dinner and she got up to go to the bathroom or something? Under what conditions did she become separated from the rest of the family?

It's in a shopping center, so hopefully with everything closing up now she will be spotted.

Any news today?

I would be interested to know how she got separated from her family. Was she lead out of there by someone, or just wandered off?

In any case, this is a scary situation considering her mental capacities. I hope she was found overnight and all is well today. FWIW.

They have a POI in this case. The hotel she was found at is directly across the street from the restaurant she went missing from.

Tuesday morning police detectives and crime scene investigators went in and out of the Oxford Suites hotel.

Chico Police Commander Ted McKinnon said they were interviewing a person of interest in the investigation. Officers were seen inspecting the man's car in the parking lot of the hotel.
