“At 13,200 feet, a party member waited 60-90 minutes for Quang and the other party member. Quang ‘waved at them’ to indicate that he would either fall back, wait for them there, or go downstairs. No plan was made,” the sheriff told the office in a statement
“Quang had hidden a helmet and jacket in Red Lake and had not returned to pick them up, and the other party members did not see him when they descended,” the statement said
“The plan is to continue to review new information based on analysis of drone footage and respond accordingly,” the office said
