His fb

His daughter has linked him in her posts, so there is some information. He also seems to have missed his birthday, this does not sound well.

BAKERSFIELD, Calif. (KGET) — Suspected human remains found last month in a rural area on the outskirts of Mojave were located next to clothing bearing the name of a missing man whose disappearance is under investigation by homicide detectives, according to a court filing.

The name “Welch Tim” was stamped on a tag inside the waistband of pants located next to leg bones.

In the plants (chemical & refinery) our names are printed on a label inside our fire-retardant clothes; same would go for pipeline workers. Really any company that contracts a large uniform company (like Cintas or Aramark) to supply and launder their employees clothes would result in the employees' name being on a permanent label inside the article of clothing. I'm not sure how the medical world deals with scrubs. I would imagine it's the same.

I don't know what Mr. Welch does for a living though.

Hailey Welch, 24, Welch’s daughter, says he was killed over stolen tools “that weren’t worth anything compared to a human life.” She said his family loved him.

Multiple people have been interviewed about his disappearance.

“Deputies were unable to find anyone who has heard or seen Welch since about Sept. 4, 2023,” an investigator wrote in the warrant.

Regardless of who Tim kept company with - his daughter Hailey loves him. My thoughts are with her as she waits for an answer :(

Thank you for that information.
My niece and nephews are in that industry as well, and now I can find out if their names are in their gear, too.
True Crime and Christmas dinner.

Blessings to the family of Mr. Welch.

I saw where his family has hired a private investigator to look into his disappearance. Praying they find something.

Digging into this case a bit further, there's a petition from his daughter seeking Kern County police to look into his case. I guess his car has been sitting in the impound lot since it's been found and still hasn't been processed yet?

My father, Timothy Welch has been missing for over two months when he supposedly left his home on September 5th and never returned. Despite this alarming situation, the Kern County Sheriff’s Department has not brought anyone in for questioning or collected any evidence related to his case. This lack of action is not only devastating for my family but also raises concerns about how missing persons cases are handled in our community, especially those who have known substance use disorders. Deputies from Kern County have told me that my father spends time with known criminals and addicts, and that nothing they say about what happened to my father can be trusted or taken seriously.

In 2020, there were over 89,000 active missing person records in the United States (National Crime Information Center). Yet, it seems like these cases are not given the priority they deserve. In Kern County alone, numerous families are left waiting and hoping due to insufficient investigations into their loved ones' disappearances.

We understand that law enforcement agencies have many responsibilities and limited resources. However, every citizen deserves justice and every family deserves closure. The current approach towards missing persons cases needs a serious review and improvement.

By signing this petition, you're urging the Kern County Sheriff's Department to take immediate action on my father's case and all other unresolved missing persons cases. You're asking them to prioritize these investigations so no other family has to endure what we've been through.

Please sign this petition today – let's ensure that everyone in our community is treated with dignity and respect they deserve when faced with such a traumatic event as a disappearance of a loved one.

Sadly it appears they have found his remains. His daughter stated on Facebook they are just waiting for DNA results

Jan 10, 2024 article - indicates a man was arrested but has not been charged with murder. Officials are working to identify the remains.

Friends of Welch told authorities another Mojave man admitted killing Welch at an unknown location near Lancaster or Rosamond, telling them he “took care of the body,” the filings say. The man was later seen driving Welch’s vehicle before it was abandoned, according to the filings.
