On that note, I hope nothing horrible was done to her :( I hope she can make a recovery from this ordeal!!

ETA...
Why was she reported wearing a certain clothing - I assume seen by mom - yet found in another shirt?

Los Angeles police said they plan to review surveillance video from a Canoga Park strip mall and surrounding businesses to help determine how a missing 10-year-old girl wound up more than five miles from her home.

NR was found about 3 p.m. near a Starbucks, just as the LAPD and FBI were intensifying their efforts to find her with a door-to-door grid search of a two-mile area around her Northridge home.

Helicopter news footage showed the redheaded girl apparently healthy. She was barefoot and wearing a baggy white T-shirt instead of the black shirt she was last seen wearing.

She was taken to a nearby hospital for an examination, police said.

Been gone all day. but I've skimmed through the thread. Thank goodness she was found alive!

Sorry if my questions have been asked and answered already but from what I've read the older sister thought she may have been watched? I wonder what made her think that if indeed that is correct reporting?

The Gang Task Unit was called besides the FBI? That's rarely something I see reported but maybe is more common in So Cal now?
I saw mention that the back door was unlocked along with the side gate correct? Do they normally leave the back door unlocked? I use to be that way back in the day before early 2000 but no way in heck after that when I lived in Cali.

Still wondering as all of you are, but a non family abduction or familiarity scenario is so rare?

Per live press conference, she's in shock, and has cuts, and facial bruises and abrasions. :(

They're waiting until after her medical needs are treated before any questioning.

They have 2 crime scenes. Chevron gas station and a Goodwill store?

She was dropped off (at Chevron?) then someone who recognized her pointed her toward 2 police officers who were coming out of the Starbucks.

They are looking for someone.

They're asking the media to stop showing her face and identifying her :(
