I'm just not seeing anything in news reports or from LE that makes me think this had gang involvement. I'm going to wait and see what LE says at the press conference later today.

Her keepers, right?

Jesus.

in theory.

I get so focused on taking down the perps I can't even think about the victim. I think it's a defense mech. But I do find myself buying GPS panic buttons, stun guns and pepper spray after reading these cases.

I'm seeing a lot about Hispanic gangs in the area, anyone familiar with the area perhaps that could point me to some of the Caucasian gangs?

would a white guy get accepted into a latino gang?

I'm just going off the sequence of events and general vibe I got listening to the scanner yesterday in the hours up til she was found and the immediate time after.

as far as the tech stuff, I'm lost :) please explain :)

Keyword cache searching. When I mentioned "tech", that's how I find alot of private accounts, stuff perps think people can't find on the net...but since this is the age of technology I love taking advantage of the resources... I'm nothing compared to what alot of others on here are. But once we find repetition in certain describing words linked w/ a person or gang, it becomes a possibility to get into their info. :D

still can't find hers. Is there a new one for today?

As far as I can see, her scanner thread remains shut down. I am thinking maybe the mods could have shut it down to remove her name or any identifying information like they did this thread while removing her name & pics, but that is MOO.

I also don't wanna consider that 2 men, not under the control of a gang, could conspire to do this. A gang makes sense, even if horrific and terrifying. 2 consenting men conspiring together of their own free will is just unfathomable to me. sickos.

so unless they were looking for someone to abduct in the first break-in, why kidnap her if they're just robbers?

A robbery gone bad maybe. They broke in intending to rob the home, saw the number of people in there, and decide to cancel it. Robbers are ultimately out for money. One of them gets the bright idea to do a kidnap for ransom ($$$) instead. That goes bad too, and when they see the legions of LE, they decide to drop her near the hospital.

I don't know. LE has more info than we do. I'm going to wait to see what they say at the press conference this afternoon.

We need a better description.

All it takes is one of them with that kind of proclivity to see an opportunity and take it. Sexual predators are opportunistic. :twocents:

I'm just saying with the robbery division taking over, I'm thinking that maybe rape wasn't their initial intent, but an opportunity one of them saw and took.

Just speculating based on the tiny bit of info we have and :twocents:

Just because someone looks white (or black) doesn't mean they aren't Latino.

totally possible, plausible. but, it does take some gall to abduct someone. Unless they're on crack - that'd make them brazen enough to do it.

my opinion wont be popular, which is fine....but based on what has been released it all is fishy to me. while im thrilled she is found although saddened of what she went through, it all reminds me of the Baby Lisa case. (I was not hear at WS for that, but elsewhere)

You know what? True story... In DE a guy on crack walked into a woman's house & kidnapped her in broad daylight. He took her to his house the next town over, tied her up, raped her repeatedly. Cops were diligent. They had the description of his car & searched all of New Castle County. Every car that resembled this car was checked out. They found the guy.

A crackhead that worked at Chrysler.

Loser.

I believe he killed the lady's husband as he was abducting her.
