is it okay to ponder a theory involving the suspect's son without identifying him? I just wonder, b/c of the claim one guy was 18, how likely would a boy be so loyal to his dad that he'd help in a crime like this?
his dad's in prison from the time he's 8 until he's 15. he's being raised by the same woman who raised his dad. (mother issues/women issues?) would he do whatever his dad wanted just to please him, or be accepted, loved or be like his dad? his real mom is MIA apparently (not the singer:)
could he have helped with the abduction and release, but not the actual crime? Maybe he took care of her during her captivity but wasn't there during the assaults? Maybe he saw the results of the assaults. Could he have released her seeing how horrible what was happening was, knowing she might have been killed? maybe he went along with some knowledge thinking they were just going to cause mischief, but didn't know all the info and changed his mind when he realized what was happening? Or maybe he has a taste for this too but couldn't go all the way his first time?
I just have a hard time believing TS released her on his own free will. I wonder if the prior kidnapping/annoyance charges were after he had released a victim and was caught or if he was caught in the act? Does he release them all?
He's got so many sweet nieces. I fear for their safety and what they may have experienced at his hands. more victims is a def possibility.

I have several alcoholics and ex drug addicts in my family. So sadly, I'm very aware of what drugs and alcohol can do. I still maintain that if it's not in ya', drugs and alcohol won't bring it out.

People have secret urges all the time, that they hide or are able to keep secret until they either do something like drugs or alcohol that allows them to be free of inhibitions, or something in society occurs that gives them license to be evil. For example, neighbors of my mom and grandparents during WWII in Holland, who seemed like the nicest people before the war, became Nazi sympathizers and turned in their Jewish neighbors, including little, tiny kids, once their country was taken over.

Then there are all those serial killers who know how to hide their true natures, like Dennis Rader, a family man and good church member, or Keith Jesperson, who tucked his daughter in like a burrito each night and enjoyed laughter filled dinners out with his kids.

No, I respect your position and I get what you are saying but I maintain that no amount of drugs or alcohol can make a man attracted to a little, prepubescent girl if he didn't have those disgusting urges to begin with.

I agree. at least in this case, it seems like trouble follows many of the people in his family. Based on his crimes, I have to assume he harbors hatred towards women in his family, and a lack of power. He could have been abused. His "type", if this last abduction is an indication of his type, reflects some kind of twisted reaction, hatred, violence and attempt to control, women in his family. So I think there's something in his make-up that compels him to do this. maybe drugs allow him to do what he wants to do but can't reconcile when sober.

Just seems like so many people disturbed who have been through misery in his family. There's enough there to assume some messed up family dynamics. seriously messed up.

some if his FB photos show a childhood lost - symbols of a crushed childhood. or of a desire to crush innocence. His page is still up. I can see it.

They've been warning that things like this will start happening because of the release of prisoners due to the over crowding, because our chicken xxxx lawmakers won't approve any new jail facilities.
Thank goodness this little one was found alive.
The next one(s) may not be as lucky. Arrrrgh

I seriously hope the talk show hosts, radio talk show hosts, etc. bring the effects of this preposterous act of releasing dangerous criminals from prison, due to over crowding, to the public...

The citizens can only be outraged, JMO, and hopefully changes will be made!

Based on what? I thought family was off limits, especially minors.

I have wondered whether there was someone else involved that maybe released her anonymously because they didn't want this guy to get in trouble. But that doesn't go along with 2 individuals taking her from the house in the first place. The scenario of one being the aggressor and the leader and the other being sympathetic and a follower makes more sense to me. Although there have been other cases where victims were abducted, assaulted and then released.

I don't think we can talk about the F/S scenario.

so lucky. I thought even if you pee in public you get on the SO registry. How can battery or annoying not get you on it?:furious:

It could be that he wasn't put on it for the 'annoying' because the charges were dismissed or not pursued:

lbanese said Summers had been arrested four years ago for investigation of battery that involved "child annoyance." Court records show Summers was convicted of battery in September 2009 but the child annoyance charge was either dismissed or not prosecuted.

As the 10-year-old girl and her family returned home Sunday evening, Andrea Fujii, reporting for CBS2, called out and asked how everyone was doing. The little girl said she was “okay.”

Fujii also spoke to Woodland Hills neighbors who live near where the Pontiac was found.

Few of the neighbors wanted to be identified on camera, but several people told her that a man matching Summers’ description has been seen coming and going from a home.

“Last time I saw him was about two weeks ago,” said one neighbor

The car had been parked in front of the home since Wednesday afternoon.

No one answered the door when Fujii knocked, but neighbors told her an older woman owns the home and lives there. They said at one time, Summers’ mother also lived there

Oscar Fierro told police he’s seen a man matching Summers’ description near the girl’s Northridge home.

“He jumped over the fence and I used my spotlight to see what the guy is doing but the guy disappeared,” said Fierro.

Clearly there were 2 men. One appeared to be 18.

RSBM

I'm not sure there were actually 2 men. The little girl gave a description of only one - 18 and white. LE is no longer looking for 18 and white, therefore TS = the one who was supposed to be 18 and white.

I think maybe the little girl was blindfolded during part of it, and while she couldn't see, TS pretended to be a different man. Blindfold accounts for why there was no description of 2nd suspect. Pretending to be a different person while she was blindfolded to avoid prosecution for crimes committed while she was blindfolded.

I think maybe DNA forensics told LE that there was actually only one, and that it was TS. TS's DNA is probably on record from past crimes. They can get preliminary DNA results back in 48 hours.

Later, TS removes blindfold, and pretends to be the "good guy" who takes her to the hospital because of what the second (nonexistent) "bad guy" did to her while she was blindfolded.

With horrible predatory crimes against children like this, if LE thought 18 and white was still out there, they'd still be looking for him.

My speculation and opinion. :twocents:

i have a feeling he will be caught today! :please:

Hoping for an arrest today!! I am hoping his family will talk him into surrendering. Even with the "transient" label, he seems to have ties to the SFV and his family.

way to bring the news! this is on the hands of the lawmakers who let him out. not even safe in your own neighborhood or home due to him being released. so scary he was just hanging out in the area for a while.

possible. elaborate. or maybe he's a true split/multiple personality. Dis-associative PD I guess is the proper term now.

PLEASE NOTE: Implying other family members may be involved will require a link or press release from LE/MSM.

We are not going there without good reason. This is a horrific crime. I'm sure family members are reeling just knowing they know who is suspected, let alone being related.

Don't go there - without a solid link to solid information. If you feel you must, please keep it under your hat and DO NOT post it here, without that solid link, solid LE connection.

Thanks,

Salem

I took TS' criminal history from the article linked below, and put it in date order. We can modify it as things go along and we get more info.

  • 2001 driving without a license
  • 2002 possessing explosives, receiving stolen property
  • 2003 grand theft
  • 2005 grand theft
  • 2006 petty theft with prior convictions
  • 2009 petty theft with prior convictions, battery, child annoyance
  • 2013 Jan 10 arrested suspicion of a felony. Jailed for 9 days on violation of probation.
  • 2013 Jan 19 released from jail (see Jan 10 2013)

(Also has been arrested on suspicion of crimes including kidnapping, robbery and auto theft. No dates given.)

Got a feeling this evil man will be caught very soon. Very glad the LE have identified him as a possible suspect. This little girl is so brave. For her and her family's sake, the offender must be caught as soon as possible.

There's an audio of a radio interview with Antonovich at this link -

Antonovich Blasts Prison Realignment Program In Wake Of Northridge Kidnapping

Los Angeles County Supervisor Mike Antonovich says more than 93 percent of the 14,000 offenders who had been on active supervision by the county probation instead of the state parole supervision are high-risk and high offenders.

“The governor’s failed realignment program has proven to be a threat to public safety because it has overwhelmed local probation departments and local law enforcement agencies,” he told KNX1070.
