I want everyone here to know how grateful we are that even after 10 months you have not forgotten our babies, or given up the fight for justice for Tori and Dean. Tori was my beautiful daughter, my best friend for 22 years, and a good mother to our Angel baby Dean. They were my life, a life that once was filled with every color of the rainbow, more laughter than you can imagine, and more love than I ever deserved. My baby girl was a good girl. She didn't party, go out to bars or clubs, didn't drink or do drugs, quite simply she went to work and came home to be with her son. The fact that she struggled financially raising him by herself was the only reason she would've ever involved that animal back into her world. And when I say involved I mean she needed help, financially. That is the only reason they are not here today. I cannot stress strongly enough, if something so horrific can happen to Tori and Dean, it could happen to any single mother out there if we don't put a stop to this.
I will never rest until we have gotten justice for Tori and Dean......
we were naïve in the beginning when we followed orders and kept our mouths shut, under the guise it was for the integrity of the case. I believe with all my heart by keeping quiet we hurt our case unknowingly. But what do you do, you follow the orders those in charge give you because you believe they want justice to. I don't believe anything anymore. Frankly I don't know anything anymore, except this: I will not remain silent any longer.
I too send e-mails to everybody in the media, the governor, without success I'm afraid. But I will continue, and I am begging all of you not to give up, or go away quietly. I firmly believe in strength in numbers, and the numbers are beginning to mount.

Welcome to WS, I am sorry to have to meet under such circumstances. I hope in some way we can help you get Tori & Deans story out there. Shadow has been communicating w/me behind the scenes I have forwarded your email on to anyone in media that may be able to help, I recently made friends with a freelance producer who has many contacts..she is sending the most recent email around to anyone she thinks my 'listen'. I will update Shadow as I am.

I am sincerely sorry for your loss, I can't even begin to imagine.

Hello everyone,
I just wanted you all to know that in the first 24 hours of sending out a brief letter along with a flyer at 230 on Memorial Day, to my personal update list & entire contact list informing everyone that I had made the decision to no longer remain silent, a decision I did not make lightly, or without many discussions and much soul-searching, (I kept coming back to the fact that that animal and his despicable family were sorely mistaken when they thought nobody would care or miss Tori and Dean. They were wrong, dead wrong)... I received information that if it all goes well, we'll achieve more than I have been able to in the previous 10 months put together.

The fact that there has been no/little media attention to Tori and Dean, and the undeniable fact that we have not gone public up till now I now feel we probably perpetuated that idea without realizing it. At the same time I don't believe I would have been prepared mentally or physically in those early months, and still have concerns about that. Let's be honest here, I refuse to accept this still, but I am acknowledging it for what it is, which was a huge factor in my decision because it took a long time for the initial shock to wear off and begin to even crawl. Sometimes I felt like I began to stand, and something would happen to knock me to my knees again and I would have to start crawling all over again. I believe I am standing on my own now (at least until the next things knocks me to my knees again), and I believe it is time to listen to that voice inside me that says enough is enough, and move forward.

I also realized after receiving the unbelievable response I got by saying I was going public and asking everybody to join me by forwarding the e-mail and flyer to all of their contacts and asking them to do the same, along with asking everyone to send this e-mails to be various media outlets, San Diego PD and the governor, that I had better get a little more organized than I am in regards to e-mails in my response. I must confess I do try and respond to every e-mail but I have five different e-mail accounts and it gets so confusing.

So if those of you on websleuths who would like to be added to my personal update list, I would gladly add you if you send your information to this account [email protected] that way I won't feel like I'm forgetting something or someone. Steve, do you know if the police are even working on this case? Wasn't there any DNA on the knot of the rope? It seems that while tying that knot some DNA might have come off of that creeps hands. There must have been something in that Apt. I just can't believe that LE hasn't done something to this creepy killer yet. Did they ever take him in for questioning?

I'm so upset because none of the shows like Nancy Grace or Greta have done Tori and Dean's story. I've emailed Nancy and I know several others have too. We never hear a word from her and I'm at the point of sending her a email that isn't so nice. I guess she would rather cover Paris Hilton then a story about a baby that was found hanged in his crib. I just don't understand why she won't cover this story. What that creep did to baby Dean is so horrible that it is hard to understand that anyone much less his father could do that to him. It is a horror.

Has AMW covered this story? Heck, has anyone? I would think that this is a story that would really grab John Walshes heart. Have the police contacted him. I know it takes a detective to get through to AMW and to get a story going with them. If this hasn't happened I'd like to know why. Are people afraid to cross this well-to-do family? I know that happens in our world but we are talking about the murder of a young mother and the HANGING of a little baby.

I am as frustrated as you so imagine how Dayna feels. I know that you are also the mother of a murdered daughter and my prayers go out for you too. I posted a list of email address a while backin hopes that if they got enough emails somone would finally pick up the story. I guess that they didn't get enough. Come on people, let's bombard them with emails. Pass this info on to everyone that you know to please do the same. Here is the letter that Dayna wrote to be sent out to the media or anyone else that you would like to send it to. I even sent it to the Govenors office. We are pleading with every media outlet in the country to help us bring national attention to the horrific murders of a young mother and her infant son that occurred on July 26, 2006.
Tori Vienneau was 22 years old, she was found beaten and strangled to death in one room,
and her infant son Dean Springstube was 10 months, and was found in another room
hung from a noose like an animal!! They were my babies. My name is Dayna Herroz. I am Tori's mother and Dean's grandmother. She was my only child, the light of my life, and Dean was an angel on earth.
Everyone that knew them knew instantly the animal responsible for this horrific double homicide in San Diego. That said we also thought we would have an arrest within days. It will be 10 months since the murders Saturday, May 26.
We have had little media attention locally or nationally in regards to this case. So we are pleading with you to please help us bring attention to the murders of two very innocent people.
When Laci Peterson was murderedit was front-page news and on every media outlet across this country and in my opinion it was crucial in the arrest of Scott Peterson.
There is strength in numbers, and when all of those people joined together in the fight for justice for Laci & Connor there was no way to hide. When I say that I mean for Scott Peterson and the legal system in charge of the investigation and those involved when it went to trial.
I was naïve enough at that time to believe that no one would ever kill the mother of their child, and their own baby ever again.
I was wrong, the only difference is in this case, is that it was my daughter was murdered, and this time the child was alive and well for 10 months before being hung like an animal from his crib!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! what I don't understand is why no one will touch this story.
So I am pleading with you, please help us find justice for Tori and Dean.
Please help us get the media attention that was given to Laci and Connor resulting in their arrest and conviction and sentencing to death row.
We cannot do this without your help, I am one person and I am broken and I am begging you to help me.
This cannot continue to happen to our children as a means of getting out of paying child support, or the responsibilities that come with having a child.
