"On November 14, 1970 Vicki Miner’s badly decomposed body was found in a vacant field near Malvern Avenue and Dale Street. Police determined that she had been bludgeoned to death. A student at Buena Park High School, Miner was last seen alive as she left for school at about 9:30 on the morning of Oct. 30. Her parents reported her missing later that day when she didn’t show up at school. The coroner estimated she had been dead about 14 days before she was found. The girl’s body was fully clothed, but she was missing a Size 28 to 30 brown leather belt, Size 7 dark brown leather sandals and a dark brown suede purse. None of these items has ever been recovered."

There is not much information. Here is a picture: Vickie Dawn Lynne Miner (1953-1970) - Find A...

Did schools start at that time in 1970?? That seems late.

Maybe it was earlier and the time is wrong? I can not find much information on Vicki´s case

The time 9:30 am was probably a typo. I have a suspect who liked taunting me by leaving me a stack of female clothes, purses, belts, shoes, and some jewelry. That was in 1982. I remember two dark brown suede purses, one had a lot of fringe at the bottom and a long, wide strap, which I gave to my daughter. The other dark brown suede purse was what I call a clutch purse; it was about 12 inches long and five inches wide. My suspect calls himself the Zodiac killer! I have many reasons why I believe he is. He is still alive and was killing in Contra Costa County during the 1980s and 90s. I found some of his victims who saw the picture I have of him, they told me that was the man who tried to kill them! Most of them were beaten, strangled, and stabbed, all over kill, none were raped, but were left nude! I do not know his name, but I found out from people who met him that he worked at Lathrop Construction in Benicia, Ca. Vicky Miner could very well be one of his victims. Does anyone know if there was any construction going on at her school when she went missing? Or construction nearby? Lathrop Construction specializes in building schools and Colleges!
