Tommy Lee Jones' 34-year-old daughter was found dead on New Year's Day, according to TMZ. The San Francisco Fire Department confirmed it responded to a medical emergency at the San Francisco Fairmont around 3 a.m. local time, Jan. 1, and that a woman was declared dead at the scene.

Two years before Victoria Jones was found dead this week of a suspected overdose in San Francisco, her father, Academy Award-winning actor Tommy Lee Jones, successfully petitioned for her to be placed under a temporary conservatorship, arguing she was in danger of “life-threatening conduct” and in need of drug rehabilitation.
After a judge granted the request, records show Tommy Lee Jones asked the court to dismiss the matter months later. A full accounting of the case was not available, as several records remain confidential.
