Husband seeks aid A California husband frustrated by the lack of leads in the mysterious disappearance of his wife has turned to the public for help. Wendy Gay Riley, 29, dropped off her husband, David, also 29, a photographer of Santa Rosa, Calif., in downtown Vancouver about 1:30 p.m. on Feb. 11 and has not been seen since. The last indication of her whereabouts was the next day when her car, a green 1978 Honda Civic, was found in the parking lot at North Vancouver's Lynn Canyon Park. "I'm asking for help from anyone who might have seen her or knows what happened," David Riley said in an interview Friday. "If anyone has any information about my wife, I'm asking that they contact North Vancouver RCMP." Const. Rick Waite is in charge of the investigation into the woman's disappearance. He can be reached at 985-1311. "Not knowing anything is really frustrating," Riley said. He said police have not been able to provide any new leads in the case. Sgt. Ron McKay, of the general investigation section of North Vancouver RCMP, confirmed Friday that there is nothing new in what he described as a "very mysterious case." A search of Lynn Creek and the park has failed to turn up any clues about the woman's disappearance other than the location of the vehicle, he said. Riley, who said that he and his wife originally came from Toronto and had lived in Vancouver two years ago before going to California, said they had not quarreled and he could not find any explanation why she might leave him. "When I left her, the arrangement was that she was going to meet a girlfriend at an apartment in the Amble side area of West Vancouver and that we would meet downtown in Vancouver at 6:30 p.m," Riley said. "Wendy never showed up at her girlfriend s place. He said he and his wife had visited Lynn Creek Park once when they lived in Vancouver, adding she was not an outdoor, hiking type of person. He described Wendy as 5 foot 8, 130 pounds, with shoulder-length brunette hair and hazel eyes. She was wearing blue jeans, a dark sweater, and a light brown suede coat with white sheepskin lining

It sounds like she was actually last seen in Vancouver - I wonder why it's listed as Santa Rosa.
(@citizen_sleuth can you clip a higher quality version of that photo - I don't have access to newspapers)

Very odd that she's missing with the Santa Rosa PD, she's not listed as missing anywhere on the VPD missing persons list or the Canada's missing database.

Enhanced photo. I considered her as a match to "Millie" Doe but it looks like she doesn't have a diastema.

I don't know if it's reporting errors, but the RCMP said she was last seen at 3:45 pm, but the husband said later 1:30 pm. The husband first said she didn't say were she was headed, but he said she was going to pick up a friend, but later he said she was headed out on a shopping trip? He said they were supposed to meet at 5:30 pm but also said 6:30 pm, and he described what she wore when she disappeared, but when they found her clothes, he wasn't sure? Kinda sus
