Wow! Yet another Doe seemingly without a thread! Correct me if I'm wrong! Unfortunately there is no chance of her being identified unless LE exhume her body as no DNA, Fingerprints or Dentals are available.

NamUs Case Number: UP7771
ME/C Case Number: 1098-118-1960
Unidentified Female
Sources: NamUs, Doe Network
General Information
Sex: Female
Race: White/Caucasian
DBF: August 21, 1960
DOD: 1959-1960
Found in: West Sacramento, Yolo County, California
Estimated Age Range: 18-99
Estimated Height: 5'3"
Estimated Weight: Cannot Estimate
Hair Color: Red/Auburn or Light Brown
Eye Color: Unknown
Distinguishing Features: Unknown/None (skeletal remains)
Clothing/Personal Items: None found at scene
Identifiers:
Dentals: Not Available
DNA: Not Available
Fingerprints: Not Available

Circumstances
Nearly skeletonized remains of a white female located on Sacramento Riverbank 100 feet above the waterline. Location provided corresponds to area near County Road 16 and County Road 117, Yolo County. Partial fragments of clothing and a few teeth also recovered.

Investigators
Yolo County Sheriff's Office Corner-Section (CASE OWNER)
Phone: (530) 668-5292
Investigator: Laurel Weeks, Coroner

Potential Matches I Found
Here are some matches I found to ponder about until the possibly exhume her body.

The most likely match IMO is Patrick Sturbaum. Went missing only 32 miles away. Not sure if the time is long enough for her to decompose though. The hair is the only other thing wrong here but the hair isn't always exact.

Nellie Tibbitts fits the bill 2nd best. Almost everything matches up. The only thing that doesn't match up is the hair.

I am bunching Grace Zoeller and Diane Webb together as both women have about the same possibility of being the Doe. Everything matches but hair and location. Phoenix is a good 700 miles or so away. I also don't know if Grace had enough time to fully decompose.
That's all the matches that are worth mentioning. I will bullet point the other 2 matches I found where location is holding them back.
  • Bette Horvat- Went missing 30 hours away and the hair is too off for my liking being a darker brown.
  • Marcelle Krulce- Went missing 38 hours away and hair is off but not too far off.
Let me know what you think of the first 4 matches!

The body should be exhumed so we can get some DNA.

I think Nellie Margaret Tibbitts is a possible match that should be sent so that at least the people handling her case take all of this into consideration.

IMO, Nellie's a strong match.

Considering the county seat of Yolo County is Woodland, I think this may be her grave. Dates are a bit off though. I believe most Central Valley counties buried their unknown dead instead of cremating them (or throwing them in the landfill....looking at you Pierce county in Washington).

May be the date of her burial they put on the marker. Id assume there are not many female UID buried the same year and month in the same county.
The coroner probably was in Woodland and the autopsy took a few days and then she was buried 8 days after being found.

If this is her grave, this is very good news. DNA extraction is very possible if the remains are in a good enough condition.
