Does anyone have any thoughts regarding my previous post?

You made some good points. I’m honestly kinda torn to be honest. This guy is definitely a creature of habit but if he just forced someone else to clean blood out of his car days before, part of me feels like he would pick a different location next time.Does anyone have any thoughts regarding my previous post?![]()
Because I don't see where Wilson had his car vacuumed between Shirley and VCJD?Does anyone have any thoughts regarding my previous post?![]()
I assumed it was cleaned in between Shirley and Lyra Jade's murders because, IIRC, he later confessed to having had them clean the blood of the women he met at a bar in Bakersfield and dumped "in the middle of nowhere", which would be Shirley and not Lyra Jade? I may have misinterpreted this. Now I'm confused...Because I don't see where Wilson had his car vacuumed between Shirley and VCJD?
The court records seem to indicate that they vacuumed VCJD's blood from his vehicle.
From July 14 to 20, C.B. left her sons in Chouest's care. Chouest left the boys alone for one or two nights. When he returned, the carpet in the back seat of his car was soaked with blood.

I know it's fuzzy, but it doesn't say that he left again after cleaning the vehicle
It's hard to say. I'm sure the boys remember vacuuming the blood, but they probably don't remember the actual dates.
So it's entirely possible that the boys were vacuuming Lyra Jade's blood from his vehicle.

Now I'm even more confused...I need to go back through my notes. Thanks for posting this. Could I be getting confused from when we told someone else he "killed a broad from a bar in Bakersfield and left her body in the middle of nowhere?" (referring to Shirley).Yeah, it's fuzzy.
The guy was 13. I'm sure he remembers blood, but I doubt he remembers specific dates.
However, Lyra Jade was not killed where she was found. Her body was drained and there was no blood pooling around her
Anything that Chouest says is suspect, like him picking her up in Visalia....(I don't believe that for one minute because he could have dumped her in the woods over there)
Jane Doe-Kern County had 27 stab wounds on her body. Her aorta, lung, liver, gallbladder, stomach, and pancreas had been penetrated. About one-third of the blood had drained from her body. No footprints leading up to the site.
Jane Doe-Ventura County had 16 stab wounds. Her lungs, liver, and mesocolon had been penetrated. Nearly all the blood had drained from her body. There was also evidence of strangulation. There was a large amount of semen, sperm, and cervical fluid pooled in her vagina, indicating that she had been raped while lying on her back and had not stood up afterward. Dr. Woodling believed she was raped just minutes before her death.
Rhods, unfazed, countered with a PowerPoint presentation that explained that seminal fluid, still pooled in Westlake at autopsy, showed that she hadn’t stood up after sex, meaning she’d been raped shortly before being killed. In addition, most of Westlake’s blood had drained from her body, and SB would testify about vacuuming Chouest’s car![]()
Why Are Missing Women of Color So Often Overlooked?
Steve Rhods helped take down an infamous killer. But solving the identity of his first Jane Doe murder case has proved even more vexing, and reveals a larger problem.www.altaonline.com
I would think a contained room, one door, one lock. Cars have doors easily unlocked. And she was laying down when he killed her, hard to completely lay back in a car.... But.. an OLD car does have plenty of room... We don't know where she was from right? Back in the 50's 60's 70 and mid 80's hitchhiking was very common. I believe alot of the missing girls were hitchhikers back then. Most runaways hitchhiked.... I knew a lady from the 40's who claimed California, Florida and New York were the main destinations. Glitz and glitter...
It is thought that she was most likely from Los Angeles, not far from where she was killed. It seems that she was probably at least semi-local to the Tiny Naylor's where her killer may have abducted her from. Before Chouest said this, he initially said he picked her up as a hitchhiker in Visalia, which is ~200 miles from where she was found in the high school parking lot. Obviously, both of those things cannot be true. Her baby's father was living very close to the Tiny Naylor's at the time, which supports that hypothesis IMO.I would think a contained room, one door, one lock. Cars have doors easily unlocked. The sheer amount of "stuff" that he got up to in 1980 from the period where he was released and paroled to the point where he was sentenced to LWOP in less than 6 months was INSANE. Setting aside all the other disgusting crimes he had done before that time. That's not human. It really is something else entirely. I shudder to think what else could have happened if he hadn't been locked up that November. Don't even want to imagine.Choust is what profilers consider to be a disorganized killer. He probably attacked her outdoors after getting her in his vehicle, then probably put her in his vehicle again and dumped her at Westlakes.
The guy was so crazy that he killed Shirley the day his girlfriend went to detox! He was like a wild out of control animal!

Yes, I put down under 6 months but it really was only about 12 weeks. Insanity, no other word!It was actually only three months! And as soon as his "babysitter" goes away for a week, he murders!
- CB picks him up from prison in June 1980 (WC moves in with CB and her sons)
- July 14-20: CB goes into detox - Murders Shirley and Lyra Jade (Maybe he murdered more women over those six days)
- Aug - Sept: Visalia rapes
Probably the only reason there are not known murders from this time: He was living in a small town, where people "notice things" and maybe CB was also keeping tabs on him.- Sept - Caught! - Thrown in Jail

Speaking of, I wonder if there are, as you bring up, possible other murder victims. Killing two women so violently in such a short span of time is extremely alarming.
How long was CB in detox?

The Wilson Chouest thread (in the Serial Killers subforum) has a more detailed timeline although I do need to tweak a few things. This man was seriously SICK.these timelines are insane
The 1977 rape charge should have never been dropped, but that was more common in the 70s.

Thanks Friday Fan. Not sure how I didn't realize that from your initial post lolJul 14-20

You do have to wonder if he has more murder victims who were ID'd, but still have unsolved murders from that July 14-20 period. I don't even know how to go about running a search for that, since he abducted, raped and killed women from across the state rather than one specific area.
I ran a NamUs search for any unidentified deceased females from July 14-20 in the state of California, but the only result was Lyra Jade herself. I wouldn't be shocked if there were more who had been ID'd soon after their deaths.
