IQ I'm so sorry I haven't been on. So far,my town has been lucky but at this point, we are surrounded by fire on all sides. The Rye fire is 4.5 miles away. We are still packed. For the first time in history, they have issued a purple flag warning. Expecting 80mph gusts. I won't lie...I'm scared and ready to go but husband is stubborn. Thinks I'm dramatic and hysterical lol. I have no idea where we would go or what we would do.
IQ are you following any FB groups? I have got a lot of info there as well as the VCFD scanner.
I'm sending you big hugs and will check my messages.
There are just no words.
(Listening to alive PC now. They seem to have no hope talking about tonights winds)

Thanks for checking in mistivon. Big hugs and prayers for your safety. I hope you can get your husband to leave soon before it’s impossible. There’s a story posted upthread from the LA Times about a family trapped by the fires near Santa Rosa a couple of months ago. Maybe that would convince him. You’re not being dramatic and hysterical.

If you want to post some of the FB groups here that would be great...if you have time. More hugs! :heartbeat:

Dear IQuestion,

I am so very sorry for the loss of your home.

This is just awful.

IQuestion what are you going to do? Do you have a place to sleep, get food, all the basic things you need to survive?

Please check in when you can. I can speak for everyone when I say we are worried about you and your family.

Thank you,
Tricia

Power is out in some areas and sporadic at best, but people with cell phones are able to communicate.

Just received an emergency alert.....extreme fire danger, high winds, listen to authorities. I think all of CA must have received this as well.
Looked on the news, we are ok here...so far......but I feel awful for all in harm's way. Devastating...

Also learned today that two friends lost their homes....Ventura.

Please winds, die down.....

Those horses...it breaks my heart.....

Hundreds of horses have been lost. Its horrifying

This is so awful. Ughhhh

I'm not surprised at all about this news in Ventura County, in fact, I pretty much thought/knew this was coming, as this location came up in previous research, maps etc as related to the recent Northern California fires, moo.

Sending good vibes out to all you folks out there!
