The theft happened on Jan. 18 as the dog’s owner, Ali Zacharias, was enjoying lunch with her dog, Onyx, at a Whole Foods located on Grand Avenue and 8th Street at around 2:30 p.m.

These cases are so upsetting. The thieves are probably looking for a quick sale. But if the dog is microchipped, she still has a chance of getting him back. Because the person who purchases him will think they're getting a pedigreed dog and probably immediately take him to the vet where the first thing they do will scan him for a microchip. Poor doggie must be so scared and confused. I hope they don't hurt him.

Video captured the moments a Los Angeles woman clung to the hood of the car, trying to prevent an alleged dognapping. Ali Zacharias said her French bulldog Onyx was taken by a woman who got into a white Kia sedan with three other people and when Zacharias stood in front of the car, the driver sped forward with her on the hood.

ridiculous, my son and his ex gf bred their frenchie and i know ppl who have frenchie pups and cant even sell them because the market is oversaturated. I have a micro frenchie my son gave me. but i dont let ppl walk up on me so the chance of anyone pulling this isnt likely, im not that friendly and pretty sus of strangers.
