No idea when this case will ever get to trial, but there is another hearing scheduled for next week. It has been more than FIVE years since his arrest. I hate to say it, but this kind of delay is not rare for California courts. A broken system.

Finally, a resolution of this case!

Trujillo pleaded no contest today to murder and sexual assault charges and was immediately sentenced to 41 years to life in prison.
