One of our verfied dog searchers would have to answer this but there are threads on the KC subforum dedicated to how soon dogs can pick up scent of a deceased body and if IIRC it is within minutes that the body starts to produce the chemicals of decomp that the dogs hit on.

I'll see if I can find the threads. That's a mighty big subforum though. :) JMHO

Someone posted a link to a study on the seeral pages back on this thread.

I wonder where Baby Lisa's crib blanket is? Personally, I don't believe the "cars themed blanket" is Lisa's.

My 3 year old niece was a CARS fanatic. She even had a Cars bed (shaped like the car). Now she is into princesses.

Where did the man see a man and a baby around 4:00?(not sure of time)They should check around that area to maybe find baby lisa.

Is that the time the father got home from work?

The witnesses who saw the man with the baby at midnight - if it had been JI they saw, would we likely have caught wind of that by now?

I am not off the fence yet. I read a whole lot of media that indicated this couple were devoted to their children and happy.

Consuming alcohol does not make someone more likely to kill their child. JMVHO.

What is it that Dr G stated in the KC trial? "100% of accidents are reported." I know this was reported but, it wasn't reported as an accident. How many accidents are reported as an abduction?

I have a different theory every day. Today, I'm thinking that DB was "passed out drunk" and somehow killed the baby (dropped it before passing out, passed out on top of it).

There's two plastic containers in the baby bed -- right? They look just like the ones we bought in 3-packs. Where's the other one? They certainly look like they'd hold a baby's body, if taped up well. They'd make a pretty good "casket", able to be buried.

(Remembering the Destiny Norton case, in SLC, where the body was in a neighbor's basement that had been searched, but no one check what was in the plastic containers.)

There was some speculation that those pictures with the tubs in them were taken long ago, at her baby shower (or of baby shower gifts after the fact). Not sure if that was ever proven or not.

Now who would know where wall cavities were and how to access them without tearing out the walls?

Oooh, maybe an electrician?

Don't they have stud finders / devices to do that?

Of course. But not all cavities are created equal, and a person whose job it is to work with and around those cavities would have specialized knowledge about their sizes, locations, accessibility, and uh, whatever...

Naturally, it would make more sense for all dubious items to be removed from the house rather than hidden, but as Dick Tracy always used to say:
Mindus Criminalis- non compos mentis. (from the crimestoppers textbook)

You guys are so fast! I am not all the way caught up so please forgive if these are repeat questions.

1. This recently-dug dirt in the back yard -- is this something that they just recently found? It seems they've been combing the whole area for such a long time that they would have found it much sooner. Did they find it a couple of weeks ago and we are just now seeing it on their report?

2. The one thing that keeps sticking in my mind is, if you have a sick or deceased baby (geez it's hard even to write that), why would you put the body on the floor when you've got a perfectly good bed right there? Could be perhaps because someone else (an asleep son?) was on the bed and she didn't want him to see?

I was holding it together up til now but I feel kinda like I'm gonna cry, or maybe be sick.

I've been on both sides of the fence as well as balanced on top, but I will say that the mom has struck me as someone who thinks she's a bit more clever than she actually is. Which might be why LE let her talk as much to the news media as she wanted.

My first real post so I hope I haven't broken any rules ....

:welcome:

Crikey you folks post at the speed of light! I had to use the facilities + 3 more pages appear! I have a question if someone could so kindly explain please. What does "Property for which possession is an offense under the laws of this state" indicate they were looking for in this case? It's one of the boxes checked on pg. 7 of the SW pdf. The only thing I could come up with was drugs? :waitasec:
TIA

This is why I said on the other page that all home owners in the area should get out and examine their yard (landscaping) for anything that looks different and call it in!

:seeya: Could the dog have made a hit if it were urine on the carpet? TIA...

NOT a cadaver dog. They hit on the scent of deceased people, not vomit or urine.

I would really hate to have those people in the jury box if I was innocent. Scary indeed.
