Hey..they are looking for Drew's missing Scuba weights..right...Well they need to put Drew in his scuba gear and force him to help in this search...

If he was really innocent he would have been the first diver in the water today..or atleast he would have been there on the scene to give the other divers his support.

Because even if Drew says Stacy left for another man..dosen't he think by now she would have called or written the family? I know that seems obvious..but Drew isn't even playing along with his own game plan anymore. He should be worried sick that the kids haven't heard a peep out of her since she left...that's the most damning evidence against Drew.

ISP had a brief presser at the very beginning........shortly after the first search warrant. The one thing I remember from that press conference is the statement that the computers taken during the search were going to play a big role in the investigation.

I totaly agree with you all 110% they would not be having the divers in there this late at night with it snowing and if the wind is blowing then the windchill factor comes into play also. They have to had some leads IMO I just checked on the weather bug and with the wind at 13 mph the temp is 19 degrees.

And along with the temps, there are quite a few participating- both public and private. That requires quite a bit of organization. And you don't do that on a whim.

All the major news media covered the canal search earlier today - Fox News, CNN, MSNBC, ABC, CBS, NBC, and all the local media. It's as if everyone feels that this is it........this is where they're going to find Stacy.

So I guess we'll all be here again tomorrow. Waiting, watching, and praying. We'll just have to keep up the commentary for those without tv or video streaming. This is not how I wanted this to end, none of us wanted this ending. But I do want an ending for her family, for her children, and for justice. I'd say the fact that they are returning to the same spot they were so focused on today tells us something is there. And considering DP hasn't been heard from or seen all day cements our fears. God, I am so scared for those children. He's just sitting there watching this unfold. I know he is. He's like a caged animal now and I hate thinking what he might do knowing he's cornered. I'm sure he's comtemplating his options and there's not too many. I just do not see him going peacefully. I even doubt him going at all. He is a control freak and my guess is he'll control his ending to this as well. If he wants to hurt himself I don't give a darn, but those poor children are innocent and deserve a life.

I've seen several posts showing concern about the cold and divers. Experienced divers dive in winter, wearing a dry suit, head piece, gloves, booties. They aren't cold - well, usually.

They were probably warmer than the people along side standing in the ice and snow with the wind blowing then.

I say they should make Drew stand and watch...while tossing water on him now and then...and stay there until he literally cracks. (like an icicle!)

I've been hoping and praying all day that Stacey would be found and doubly praying that DP would be arrested. IMO, everyday he acts more and more like SP's older twin.

Boy, Greybeard - you sure know when to start a thread! And you were spot-on about Lockport being important, too! Maybe some justice will come out of this as it did with the other Peterson case, and soon.

I've been so busy - I've had shopping and kids with homework, and I've got an earache. Then I watched alot of that awful Nebraska shooting. I had no idea all this went on with the search in the canal.

Thanks to all for the links and pictures - I really appreciate all of that! It looks so cold and I'm sure they wouldn't be out there tonight if they weren't close to something.

I haven't followed all the news, but from reading these posts, it would seem they were at this location in Lockport. I think I found the place on Google Earth - Division Street East and West - it dead ends at the canal on both sides, and that fits with the news articles that say a car could be driven off the end there, or something rolled into the water. There is no bridge over the canal, but there are smaller bridges over waterways on either side.

I would think with the vast amount of resources being used (man hours, agencies, etc.), that there is close to 99% valid information they (LE) have in their possession to commit to this type of search.

I'm just wondering if they are searching this area due to "pings" and the GPS from Drew's vehicle, why wasn't the search done earlier? I mean, the pings and the GPS were all used on 10/28, so even giving a few days to come up with the information, why now? Were they waiting for someone (TM) to provide more concrete evidence?

This is going to kill me being at work today with no access to tv, online, etc!!!! I'll be praying that Stacy is found today and that the kids ARE SAFE. All I want for x-mas is DP behind bars!!

I am now wondering IF IF IF DP could have secured her body within an old car, put the car in neutral, left the windows open so the car would fill with water and rolled it over the edge. Mary Jo Kopechne style.

Sonar may have been able to detect a body within such a car! The report yesterday was that the tow chain on the tow truck the searchers had had snapped, from the weight I guess of whatever they were trying to bring up.

I too am most concerned for the children that are still within the house with him.

Wonder IF IF IF he had any hidden guns that were not taken by LE?

I am amazed that the children have NOT been removed from the home BEFORE now.

T/Fox, Thanks for posting all the pics looks like the right place to me too.
It looked to me like they have a vehicle that was stuck in the mud and couldn’t break it
free from the bottom. I am no expert, but I usually see several cars pulled up every year
From a big lake we have up here. If there is a car or two I would expect to see some
Larger equipment on their next try. Up here the men use large rubber bladders that the divers Attach to the car, then they inflate them with air to break them free from the bottom, and tow them to a boat landing or shoreline. I would guess a hydraulic crane would work in that spot too.

A cell tower, a dog hitting on scent there and sidescan sonar could all be reasons to focus on that spot. Maybe even a witness to the act eh?

Dr. Baden felt that if she really Is in the water that would actually Preserve the evidence. Good for LE, bad for the bad guy.
