He has not been seen since. A friend posted a photo of Baker and a woman taken in Bali before he moved on to Cambodia.

The friend said Baker was scheduled to board a flight back to Canada on Jan. 25. He never got on the plane, and “no one has had contact with him since early January.”

Despite the pleas for information, so far there has been no sign of Baker. Described as “a very kind and helpful person to everyone,” Baker’s disappearance is a total mystery.

According to a Cambodian expat Facebook page, a woman claiming to be Baker’s partner said the end of communication was sudden.

“He was there for a healing journey and was taking a break from technology, but we were staying in touch until January, when he went offline,” the woman wrote. “The (missing persons) report was filed months ago, right after he missed his flight.”

Family of Canadian man missing in Cambodia seeks help - Khmer Times

The family and friends of Tiberius “Ti” Baker, a 34-year-old Canadian man, have appealed to the public for information on his whereabouts after he went missing in Cambodia early this year.

His disappearance has been reported to Cambodian authorities and the Canadian consulate in the Kingdom. However, there have been no confirmed sightings or communication since his last known location in the coastal city.
“Any tips, sightings, or pieces of information could be crucial in helping us find Ti,” said a close friend in a social media post. “We’re asking anyone who may have seen him or knows something to come forward.”
Those with information about Baker are urged to contact the family at [email protected] or the Canadian Consulate at [email protected].
The search continues as his family and friends urge the public not to let Ti’s case fade from attention.''

He looks very different in those 3 photos. Slightly healthier and happier in some than in the other. I wish we knew which was the most recent.

I think the 4th of January is a tricky time. It can be a time when people turn over a new leaf. Maybe he decided to go to a retreat or a wellness centre or a detox and something happened voluntarily or not while he was disengaged from the rest of the world. Alternatively, for those who party, it’s a classic time for the post NYE comedown. Suicide Tuesday as we call it. People’s mental health can take a real dive in those early January days. MOO

I wish we knew more about what he’d been doing on his travels and his plans for his time in Cambodia.

I’m sure they will question the girlfriend, but since she says they were “keeping in touch” and says “he was there” not “we were there”, it sure sounds like she wasn’t with him and wouldn’t have much to offer.
