CAMPAIGN to help Equusearch get more volunteers and news coverage!

THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU! For doing what most of us want to do but can't. Hopefully tomorrow will be better organized.

I guess people should should consider bringing their 4-Wheelers if they have them!!!!

I'm sure that this helps cover more territory. Although, I do believe that little Caylee is not far from a road or path that Casey could drive down!!!

One thing I realize from today was that IF Casey took Caylee into some of these very THICK intensely wooded areas that are right off of busy highways, SHE HAD to have had HELP! I am a small woman kinda close to her age and there is no way I could see her getting into those marshy thick woods by herself without help that close to busy highways. Personally, this search has really led me to believe she MUST have gone into a more isolated area like those where the cell phone pings were...where its barely any traffic at night and someplace that wouldn't require a huge effort on her part...some place she could park her car on the road without it being noticed...the ground here is soft, she would likely get stuck or their would be tire tracks if she pulled off. Casey is a prissy girl...and I think unless she put the body in the dumpster or in water, I think it's more and more plausible she had help...and if not it had to be an area she knew well and had easy access too. A lot of our wooded areas are so thick and marshy...it's difficult to move about even with proper equipment. I can't imagine at night. All just my opinion.

Agreed! She just pulled up somewhere and dumped the body ---- thus, the scratches on her trunk...... PLUS, I am guessing she had to get back to get showered and get her makeup on to go out and P A R T Y !!!!!

sorry if this has been covered already but you made me think about it when you mentioned 4 wheelers. has anyone contacted equestrian groups in the florida area to invite them to join in the search?

Someone requested I repost this on this thread...

Yes, it's Labor Day weekend so many people might be out of town, but I think there are 3 things that might be dampering volunteers...

1. The only reason I knew TES was going to be there searching is due to the Tony Padilla thread and a WS person here getting Cindy in contact with Tim Miller... that's a REALLY small circle in the grand scheme of Orlando (the people who read WS and would have ran across this thread).

2. Tonight Tim Miller did talk on Nancy Grace, but there wasn't some big bulleted graphic saying they need volunteers and where to show up... the media is DEFINATELY NOT doing enough to get the word out. While there have been vague messages that TES is involved, the media hasn't made a call for volunters giving them the information needed (nor has the family as adressed below).

3. The Anthony family is in lock down protect mode... their main focus has been to have vigils and ask the public to help find Caylee, alive... they think she is still alive so aren't organizing searches on the ground... why would they... Caylee isn't in a marsh or buried based on what they believe. THEREFORE, the family hasn't been able/wanting to put effort into getting volunteer searchers for TES' ground search.

I think the idea for food and supplies is a really great and needed idea, but right now I think the best thing we can do from afar is to try to help get more volunteers out searching. I'm sure many volunteers aren't believing the Anthoney's story and arn't moved to help the "FAMILY" at thier vigils. BUT, I think they would be glad to help find Caylee if they knew another NON ASSOCIATED group was involved helping in the search.

How do we do that?

A. Put pressure on the media outlets to get the information out about going to volunteer for the search for Caylee... EMAIL sites like Fox news, CNN, MSNBC, local affiliates with the request they ask for volunteers.

As an aside, I'm not sure if they should stress TES isn't taking sides in this matter, they are just trying to find Caylee with the resources they have... this is a little different thing for TES... on the one side you have the Anthony family thinking she's alive and on the other side you have LE providing possible search sites... not sure how to communicate that?

B. Post at any message board we think might get volunteers out to help ... the motorcycle groups was a GREAT suggestion, so is any hiking/climbing/adventure groups in Orlando, or volunter fire departments, or churches, or any other LOCAL community group you can think of that might be willing to go out and help search.

A general (message board) statement like (edit as you see fit ~ please repost this and use it anywhere you would like)-

Texas EquuSearch (TES) is now involved in the search for Caylee Marie Anthony. This is an amazing non-profit group made possible by volunteers like YOU. As you will recall, this is the group that worked tirelessly and spent $10,000s of dollars searching for Natalie Holloway. They have searched for countless other missing people, many of whom have been found by this amazing group. For more information about this organization and the searches they have been involved in, please visit http://www.texasequusearch.org/

If you would like to volunteer to search for Caylee Marie Anthony, please follow these instructions...

Any volunteers for the search on Caylee Anthony can meet at the command center located at: 5750 TG Lee Blvd., Orlando, FL. The rear parking lot behind the Holiday Inn. Time to show is 8:00am (or a second round of volunteers may be sent out at 12:00pm). All volunteers must bring a photo ID and fill out a volunteer form.

Please note, you MAY be searching in non-favorable conditions (marsh land, tall grass, or hot and humid conditions). Having bug spray, a water bottle, snack bars, and long sleeve pants/shirt/boots available is advisable. Also, they are requesting that you keep any information you may be informed of confidential.

Thank you for your help and support!

Here is what I have always been advised to take when joining in a search:

Long pants
Hat
walking stick
water
Good sturdy shoes
If a swampy area, boots (wading boots)
bug spray

I talked to Tim Miller from TES a few minutes ago. Yes, they will be there tomorrow unless they find Caylee today. His words exactly were - "We are not leaving until this baby is brought home".

I will post a new thread on exactly what to bring, if different, when I get an e-mail from TES shortly. They are sending me some more info. I have worked a lot with these guys in the past on Baby Grace / Riley's case, and they are wonderful folks.

I live so far away from Florida and have spent the last weeks since 7/15 on this stupid internet hoping they would find Caylee. I do not move from my computer, constantly refreshing pages, hoping and hoping. My hope has diminished, and I wish I could be there. She needs dignity. I just wanted to comment that the below comment sent chills up and down my spine and also filled my eyes with tears. Tim, you are a wonderful human being.

Oh, see, I see Casey as very resourceful, Caylee is light, she and she alone did this.

Kind of disappointed. The Orlando Sentinel did a big article about the TES search in today's paper BUT no where in the article did they state the need for volunteers or donations. Think I am going to drop a line to that writer and maybe she will include it tomorrow.

Cher, I have seen requests for help on Fox News, Channel 13 and WFTV. I am sure the other networks have it on as well. I still say that more people would go if they knew Caylee was alive. It is very hard on the mind to know that you are searching for a body.

As a new WS who is all the way across the country I must say that I am a tad bit disappointed. This post is not to offend but to vent ...

I am disappointed that some of the Floridians (include veteran WS members) who have this opportunity to look for this child, whether alive or not, and don't take it.

I am utterly frustrated being in California when all I want to do is fly to Orlando to help. Regardless of whether G & C show their appreciation or not I could care friggin less. It's NOT ABOUT THEM!!!!! I wouldn't want them to show their face there because they would be only doing it for appearance sake anyways.

It's about Caylee. Nothing more nothing less.

Someone wrote earlier that if they weren't already at a bankrupt budget they would be there ... my sentiments couldn't be any further.

So, instead of posting how you are close but can't go or are afraid to go, please suck it up and just go, for Caylee & for the hundreds of us that wish we could go but are too far.

SoCaliMom

I'm in SoCal too and would be out there for sure searching for Caylee if I were closer. When Danielle Van Dam went missing her parents Brenda and Damon were down at the meeting spot for volunteers passing out water and snacks thanking everybody up and down for their help. That's what G@C should be doing, but at this point they are still in denial. Caylee's DNA being in the trunk :bang:may trigger them back to reality seeings how one's in the medical field and the others an ex cop. DNA does not lie.......but they do, and they are totally disrespecting Caylee Marie.

great idea, and could you please post the link?

Thanks for starting this thread to bring this to our attention. I'd never have aniticipated that there would be a shortage of volunteers for this.

I just sent an e-mail to my adult child, a student at Full Sail in Winter Park (which is where one of Casey's recent boyfriends attended, right?), to try to get the word out as much as possible. Since I live FAR from there, it's the best I can do.

Since this forum is monstrous and I don't have a ton of time to search, can anyone tell me how I can donate to the search teams? Thanks in advance.

Never mind, found this just now ... To Make Immediate Donations To Texas Equusearch For The Search Going On In Flo

Peace to all and a heartfelt thanks from NJ to everyone that is helping, discussing, and caring about this case.

I posted this on another thread, but am going to post it here as well.

Because I can't be there in person, I got on Google Earth. I looked very carefully around the airport, and found one area that you could actually drive your car up to Mud Lake. If you get off 417, take a right onto Boggy Creek Rd. and then take the first right you come to. It looks like it might be a dirt road. Anyhow, this loops around past an electrical sub station and eventually comes to an area where the neck of Mud Lake is very close to the road on the left. There is a dirt path that goes down to the lake on the left hand side. It is very secluded in this area, and it could be an area where Casey would not have to carry Caylee very far to hide her in the water. I hope someone checks this area. You would probably need wading boots to go in the water. I would think that if Casey put Caylee in water, that she used something like a brick or "PAVER" in a suitcase to weigh her down. I feel very strongly about this location. It is one of the few places that Casey could drive her car, and be unnoticed for as long as it took to drag her body down to the lake. I really can't imagine her carrying Caylee for any long distance, but another thought I had along the suitcase line, was that if she had a suitcase with rollers or wheels, it would make it much easier to move!!! Of course, this is just my speculation. I will continue to look for other places that might work.

another poster who lives in the area (Theonly1) replied to my post with this comment:

I'm *convinced* this area is one of the places Casey would have gone. I live near the airport and this area is so rural, dark at night, and secluded. I will Google Earth this too to take a look. I'm also pretty sure one of the news outlets went out to this area and panned around with a videocamera after the cell phone ping information broke.

This makes me really think that this is a prime area to be searched with wading boots or scuba gear!!!! PLEASE< PLEASE<PLEASE someone share this info with Tim of Equisearch!!!

My dear fellow posters. Many of us feel hopeless living away from Orlando not being able to assist with Equusearch’s efforts to locate baby Caylee. I also feel disappointed with the low number of volunteers joining Tim’s efforts, especially since some people had the time to go and bang on the Anthony’s doors and yell things at them. I wish all that energy was devoted to Equusearch’s efforts. I made my small financial contribution to Equusearch like many of you have done but I don’t think it is enough right now. We need more hands and eyes on the ground assisting Equusearch. We need hundreds of people searching the woods and the lakes every day.

LET’S ASK THE MEDIA TO HELP US AND HELP EQUUSEARCH:

OUR VOICE MATTERS:

There are like 600-700 people visiting Caylee’s forum every day. If not more. That’s a lot of people. Tv stations do take notice of letters and emails, and ONE letter for them represents 100 people who feel the same way but don’t have the courage to write a letter. So if each one of 600 of us writes to these stations and shows is like 6000 people asking them to focus on Equisearch’s efforts and their need for volunteers.

If all of us wrote to the following media and asked them to make more noise about Tim’s search, the desperate need for volunteers, then more people would feel like wanting to help. Let’s ask the media to change the ‘’narrative’’ of their headlines for now. Casey is sitting in jail and the LE are doing their job. Let’s ask them to focus on a ‘’narrative’’ of Equusearch needing more people to join and help with the ground search. We know Casey lied, we know Cindy and George are lying or defending her or whatever, but we have seen everything there is to see right now. Ask the media to stop recycling things and discussions and use their POWER to help what Tim and his team are trying to do.

I made a list of all the email addresses or online ‘’leave comment’’ forms of Orlando stations and shows like Nancy’s and Greta’s. It takes only 5 minutes to compose a short polite letter asking them to refocus for now on Tim’s need for volunteers. The autumn is here and the winter is following. Caylee needs to be found now. Unfortunately at the end of the day stations are into this business for the ratings, and since we are their ‘’customers’’ let’s be very vocal what we want to see on our screens. All of us who are away from FL but desperately want to actively help, we can do this to sensitize more people to volunteer in the search of Caylee.

Remember that each individual comment matters.
