Canada - 10 dead and at least 15 wounded in stabbing attacks in Saskatchewan, 2022

He was probably so injured that he couldn't drive anymore so the other person may have had to drive for him. But again Myles was granted his last wishes by those who said its OKAY he shouldn't be turned in to LE.
Yeah, I was expressing some frustration that the quote said Myles was spotted in the front seat of the SUV but said nothing about if he was driving or a passenger and if anyone else was also seen and who they could be.

It seems pretty clear that Damien died on James Smith Cree land so either LE was mistaken about 2 people being in Regina or there's a third suspect aiding Myles. As it is, LE was mistaken about Myles returning James Smith Cree reservation. If there's a third person involved why wouldn't LE release such important information? They're not going to play games while dangerous killers are threatening people IMO.

I think the person aiding Myles came into the picture so to speak afterwards not during the rampage. It looks to me that Myles knows this individual IMO. MOO.

As a specific vehicle with a known licence plate number is far easier to spot than someone who resembles the photo of MS, I would think his #1 priority of evading arrest would‘ve been to ditch the vehicle. No third person was involved in the murders or they’d be classified as a wanted armed and dangerous suspect as well.

If MS sought a 2nd party to aid in his escape I’d guess part of the attraction would be using a different vehicle. Regardless the Mayor of Regina now announces the sighting as “stale”, which I agree too many days have passed to know if it was meaningful or not.

The alerts have been withdrawn in Alberta and Manitoba. Most often anyone evading capture stays close to areas they are familiar with and that may be why the RCMP believe he’s still in Saskatchewan. It wouldn’t totally surprise me if he’ll be found somewhere in a remote area dead by suicide, given the vehicle has not yet been located either. IMO that would serve better justice to the friends and families of the deceased, rather than the heartache of following a future trial based on a defence of pity and excuses. JMO

Article gives victims perspectives.

I know they're not releasing the identities of the injured. I'm wondering if they've released other information on the injured, and more specifically whether there were any people injured in Weldon or whether all injured were on the reserve?

LadyL 's link also links to story of a previous (7 yr ago) stabbing of some of same people. They are his in-laws........moo
OMG, how was this man ever released from custody? He's been attacking and tormenting certain family members for years. I'm disgusted by the Parole board's actions:

Despite his long record of crime and violence spanning his adult life, Sanderson was not considered an undue risk to society by the Parole Board of Canada as recently as February.

“To your benefit, you do seem to have maintained sobriety, obtained employment, engaged a therapist, were engaged in cultural ceremonies, had obtained a home for your family, and appeared to have been making good progress on reintegration,” the Board wrote.

“It is the Board’s opinion that you will not present an undue risk to society if released on statutory release and that your release will contribute to the protection of society by facilitating your reintegration into society as a law-abiding citizen,” the decision read.

Upon his release, Sanderson was instructed to refrain from alcohol and drugs, follow a treatment plan, avoid his victims and their families, and have no contact with his children, as well as an individual identified only by the initials V.B.

Myles Sanderson was located and taken into custody in Rosthern, Saskatchewan around 3:30 p.m. Wednesday, according to an update on an civil emergency alert that has been in effect in the province since Sunday morning.
...
The person was believed to be traveling in a stolen 2008 White Chevrolet Avalanche with Saskatchewan license 953 LPL.

If you're referencing McLeod and Schmegelsky, they're not still at large. They were found dead August 2019 in remote Manitoba after going through with an apparent suicide pact.
"Multiple sources close to the ongoing manhunt for Myles Sanderson, the second suspect in the stabbing rampage that killed 11 people in the Canadian province of Saskatchewan on Sunday, say he made a final trip to the city of Regina with the intention of seeing friends and family members there in the hours after the horrific attacks."

Apparently his brother and accomplice was found dead in a field. So they're now looking for 1.

Great news!!

"Myles, my boy, turn yourself in. Please. You can do this," his mother said. "Come back. Turn yourself in. Do the right thing."

Sanderson's father agreed.

"Myles, please, please turn yourself in.We don't want no more hurt. I don't want nobody hurt any more...please, my son. I love you. Turn yourself in. Be safe," he said.''

He's been apprehended. Finally!

Oh, thank goodness! Well done RCMP.

"There is no longer a risk to public safety relating to this investigation," an alert by the Royal Canadian Mounted Police said.
