In the throes of grief, Holly Roy had a singular request.
“Anyone who’s asked me if I need anything,” she wrote in a Facebook post, just over two months after her son, JahVai, was killed by a stray bullet that punctured the bedroom window of her Black Creek apartment in August.
“I need you to show up.”
