Police will bluff when interviewing a person of interest.
Thank you Lalalacasbah!!! Does it have to be legally? What's the most that would happen to them for wrongly accusing someone? A civil suit? Some financial restitution? I doubt they could charge LE with anything. That's exactly what I think! LE has very little...if anything solid when they made their move...that's why they have the intensive 30-day process they're talking about. I think its a smoke screen and a case of "insurance" to present something/someone to the public. Not to demean LE, they did a fabulous job of their search/rescue effort but this is very, very weird! And now that they've got their guy, they stop?? An Edmonton radio station has been announcing that LE are now checking in Mexico....it took that long to get to Mexico? Wow...its been over a month!
