My guess is that it is precautionary. They work with various chemicals used for testing and evidence collection.

I asked a family member who is a forensic scientist, and they said:

- protect responder from whatever the scene biohazards are there is foremost
-prevent DNA contamination from responder

That begs the question, what types of bio hazards could exist at a residential crime scene? Aside from a meth lab operation (not implying anything about this crime scene).

In this case it would be blood.

That went right over my head. I was thinking along the lines of noxious chemicals. Many thanks.

does anybody know the year of AL's first bankruptcy claim?

It's a combination hepa filter / organic vapor filter cartridge on the mask, meaning it's for both fine particulates and chemical vapors.

I look at that picture above and think "Geesh those storm doors are so noisy". Remember trying to sneak in late at night and those doors were alarms of a sort,, no amount of wd40 could keep them quiet. And everybody knows their own house sounds. The side door at the L's, was it on the side where they had no neighbours?

Yes, correct stan. On the side where the duplex is and the neighbor was scheduled to move in still. I believe it was during the estate sale that the future neighbor spoke with KL.

I always wondered what LE and forensic were looking at in this photo as it seems they are specifically fixated on a particular detail.

Bodily fluids. Hepatitis, AIDS ... all sorts of potential biohazards when handling bodily fluids.

One thing that i have always been curious about is if LE knew from the very beginning it was a possible murder and there was blood in the house (which they must have known to have ME there the first day) why they would just say they are looking for the green truck driver because he may have information. Usually they would say he may be dangerous do not approach or use caution if around him, etc. Not just that this person may have information. They arrived to a murder scene where three people could have died. JMO

There might have been a good explanation for why the owner of the green truck was in the area.

Another thing is why would LE say we are hopeful to find them alive because there is no evidence to suggest otherwise. Blood is in the house being observed by a ME to see if the three are dead, well i can see them saying they are hopeful to find them alive but they should not have said there is no evidence to suggest otherwise. Not blaming LE just confused at their wording. JMO
