I have not read his face by what the book says but I do plan on it. I will share my findings when I do! I have used it on family and friends and it is very interesting. Some call it "Woo" but I like "Woo".

I hope it is okay to post this... The house (duplex, just one side) is for sale. It is across the street from the Liknes home. I am curious if they were planning to sell prior or if the crime in the neighborhood is cause.

I wonder if they witnessed anything? Just thought of this now, but there's a possibility of eye witnesses in this case we might not know about.

When you're driving around in the evening do you ever notice when people's curtains/blinds open and you can see right into their homes? I kind of like looking myself… I'm not stopping or spying or being voyeuristic, I just look as I pass and find most homes just look cozy and warm inside, so neat.

Anyways, I wonder if the curtains or blinds were open that night?

When I think of the look on DG's face in the "perp walk" photo, I can picture him as a man totally traumatized by his own actions. IMO.

If he was covered head to toe, that could account for the burning (of his own bloody clothes, perhaps?) that his neighbour observed at the Airdrie property.

Traumatized is a good description for sure. If he used that method, It would make sense that he would be on suicide watch.

I do the same and because I do I make sure know one can see into our windows. Last night was the third night that a house on our street set off their house alarm at around 4:30 in the morning. It goes until it dies and so last night I called police and stayed up to watch them pull up to the house we suspected. The alarm had gone off by the time police showed up. It was interesting how many homes on our street have exterior lights on at night and some don't. Anyway, interesting observation that I had was the home the police officers were looking at had a car parked in the driveway and so they knocked on the door, did a parameter check, used flashlights to look in the windows and checked the car. No one answered the door and at 8 am this morning I watched a young guy exit the house and drive away in the car. What?!! I am keeping the phone and binoculars next to the bed tonight.

I am sure the police questioned the people across the street. I wonder if they had any observations. It is a huge step to pick up and move so it raises my radar a little bit.

Now THAT would be quite the development. You would think that LE would've had more to go on in the early stages if that were the case though. The "test drive" and "no smoking gun" comments make it sound like any witness accounts wouldn't be line-up ID worthy.

If only the neighbors were more nosy. Every block seems to have at least one...

It could be all those things, all I keep thinking is we have another drug house on our street. I do try and give the benefit of the doubt but we live in a pretty upscale neighborhood and these fancy houses go up as rentals for various reasons. One caught fire and turned out to be a grow-op and a pretty important biker dude lives down the road too. So I am always on the lookout and sleep with my window open a crack, unfortunately I'm the only one to hear the alarm because of it.

Could be the situation where neighbors see nothing out of the ordinary, LE asks them about estate sale stuff/day time events (AL at the park with NO we heard), they see people coming and going, etc.

Then people's memories might be triggered when they hear the timeframe (10pm-10am), see the truck photo released, realize 'oh wait' we *did* see a dark haired guy walking up the road, or heard a louder than normal truck after 10pm, and so on.

Seems strange neighbors haven't been interviewed much in MSM, maybe because they're not allowed because they have to testify as witnesses.

If you haven't been following, news.talk wants to scare OOTD, but he is unscarable,...Krystine has admitted she is a mountain lioness, (not a cougar) ...and neither news.talk nor Krystine can be in the same room with Tinkerbell, b/c she is only 5'2 1/2 and would make us look like giants, or she-males. And that would be scary. Power of Two thinks we are all older than dirt.

I bet under different circumstances, AL and KL would be chuckling along with us. It seems like the kind of people they were.
I didn't read it either,...thumbed through it at Chapters one day and realized how badly written it was.

It was a big moving weekend, and since the L's were moving, it would not have been that unusual to see someone loading 'stuff' onto a half ton at all hours, and then driving down the highway stuff piled high... furniture/boxes/carpets/mattresses/household articles. It's possible that there were items already placed strategically in the truck box and the murderers or murderer and helper just added the bodies, re-arranged things a bit, and drove to who knows where? The interior of BC? Nordegg?

I can't remember if this was discussed but I know a wheel barrel was. Because a move was taking place is it possible one of those fridge mover carts was at the house? My husband amazes me with what he can move with those things - even to pull things up into the back of a truck - WITHOUT the adrenaline DG would have had flowing through his veins.

Yes, the length of time it took before LE narrowed down a POI allows for a large travel radius. Some even speculated it was possible to get to Richmond, BC and back in that time. They could be anywhere, in any form, and it appears as though it's going to take someone randomly stumbling upon them before they are found.

In defence of some of our 'super' sleuthers here - several of these light hearted comments have been made by some who have spent hours researching and have found some very important info. Maybe they needed a break from the emotion of it all but still needed to stay connected. I think they deserve to be light hearted for a time and am positive will turn 'serious' again when required of them. Even in death one has to take time to laugh or it becomes unbearable. Please - I do very much agree with the occasional light hearted comment, it can get a person through heavy moments, but this 'light heartedness' has taken over............quit with the joking! It should not overshadow the tradgedy at hand.

I live in the rural end of a small city (read: large lots, chickens and big gardens). Everyone keeps pretty much to themselves, though we do know who our neighbours are. There is often loud and unidentifiable noise in the summertime. Unless one is well versed in firearms, it would be difficult to discern fireworks, gunshot, and vehicle noise at any given time. I am certain I have heard gunshots throughout the summer on occasion. Do I get up look out? Not if I am in bed. Do I look at the clock? Yes. When rescue /ambulance/police fly by my road I look to see which is which and say a little prayer for the rescuers and whoever is involved. What else is there to do? I would be hard pressed to tell you in subsequent days what I heard or observed and at what time. I do my best to be observant but not to be on 'red alert' in my neighbourhood. It is easier on my nerves.

Maybe a dumb question, but is there a shooting range nearby the Liknes home? Seems those are all over, although likely more in the rural areas.

It sucked...didn't get past the 1st chapter...using it as a levelling device for a bookshelf in the garage. Apparently it's going to be on tv...Mr. Grey is not attractive at all...IMO. Blacklist started last night, now there's some complicated plots!

Quite a few days for sure...the truck picture went public on the 4th...
On the 5th it went out on MSM that LE were at the acreage....
That same day *5th* 3 bodies were found in a burned out truck in Barrie....there was even speculation here whether or not that could be related...
It was not but the travel time was feasible...
Of course we didn't know about DG being a suspect when all of these events were occurring.....JMOO
