“They had a vision that all of the family would come and visit them . . . and they knew we would all come in the winter,” Hodgins said with a laugh.

Neighbour saying they had a house in the USA as well as one in Edmonton that they could move to not sure where they were planning on going
Neighbours heard Grandpa playing with Nathan in the backyard on Sunday afternoon

Where is the US house? Texas?

So it hasn't been published anywhere in MSM, nor any Websleuth findings of a USA home it seems. There was that address listed to an Allen L in Helena, Montana, but that wouldn't be AL's home, it'd be his sons if that's true.

We've only heard second hand info from the neighbor of this, so far, so might not be true or maybe the neighbor got mixed up. Curious though...

Multiple neighbours said they saw the boy Sunday afternoon at a playground behind the Liknes home.

Peter Walton, who lives and works in the area said his grandkids played with the Liknes’ five-year-old grandson at the park.

I remember we weren't sure if the garage was open and we found info that it was but wasn't sure if it was from the estate sale or another previous sale. This post sounds like, garage was open on the Sunday afternoon, probably during the sale too I would think.

Read the whole agreement on the first link.

Interesting because Blue Sky is a licensed entity all over the world,, we know Whitemark got charged but that does not mean Blue Sky dissolved. Was AL still part of Blue Sky. Read the bit if AL dies or ceases to exist as the director of shareholders.

That is a very long agreement! I will enjoy it with my coffee in the morning. What were the shares worth? Is this company still around to sleuth? I wonder if Whitemark is connected to the modular home business in Evansburg.

Wayyyy back in discussion...we got into the Dominion Land Survey System...
I can't remember where I'd posted description and how to map it....
Anyways...back in the day when the west was being settled...they had to have a way for new settlers to find the piece of land they were getting...so they did a grid system....DLS...
It is still used to this day to survey land....and find co-ordinates other than longitude & latitude....
What it gives you is Section/Township/Range...which quarter in the section ...in this case NE....and where in western Canada it is located according to meridian lines ...eg: Meridian 4 is the Alberta/Sask border...
So when it says W4...that means West of the 4th Meridian....
So....there are a couple of converters online....you just plug in the numbers and then it shows it on a map or gives you long & lat to put into a map and it will zoom into where the land is located...
This converter....will find you the centre of section 2...and we go from there....

So you want to find NE 2-34-5 W4
So in Section you would put 2
Township you would put 34
Range you would put 5
(W4 is referring to West and the 4 is the 4th meridian...which is the Alberta/Sask border...hence you are West of the 4th meridian...aka W4)
Meridian you would put 4
Direction you would choose West

Hit convert...it will give you long & lat ...and a place marker on the map...

When you look at the map it is marked at the centre of section 2...(image map1a)

That section is divided into 4 quarters...namely NW...NE...SW...SE...(image map1b)

We are looking for NE 2....here's where the NE comes in from your above co-ordinates...
That is the piece of land you are looking for.... NE 1/4 of section 2...(marked NE in image map1b)

Hope this helps...you can use that converter for any location in western Canada & it will give you the co-ordinates :)

FWIW, using the converter in the ags.gov.ab website included in my previous post, it states:

The results will always show the southeast corner (SE/C) because that is being treated as the local origin of the co-ordinate system.
