How do the above results differ from what I posted in the previous thread?

http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...June-2014-*ARREST*-12&p=10842549#post10842549

The results I came up with were for Monitor (just outside Consort) and there were buildings in the NE section:

http://www.websleuths.com/forums/sh...June-2014-*ARREST*-12&p=10845274#post10845274

FWIW, using the converter in the ags.gov.ab website included in my previous post, it states:

I feel like what's happening is we're all re-sleuthing stuff lol!

I've been re-posting from Thread #1 and hope to get through more of the first/earlier threads as a lot of info has already been sleuthed by others, yourself and otto included as some other great sleuthers who no longer post these days. I find myself rehashing or sleuthing things there may already be answers for as I forget TONS.

I think some of us new posters may have missed a lot or forgotten, so I hope no one minds me reposting other sleuther's efforts in response to recently discussed items. :)

I am referencing back to these posts because I am going thru my older notes. I have written down a legal description and I am trying to figure out if it is the same one or if it is connected. I will see if these coordinates match the legal description I have highlighted in my file.

Can I post the legal description that I have?

I have read the article and am aware of this information. There is much more to this post than what you've pointed out above. It was to be read in an entirely different context than what you have chosen to focus on. How does what I've asked above as a "possibility" or a "question" state that the comment is one of victim unfriendliness. It is a "could it have been?". Many people have been in situations that they want to "buffer" to perhaps diffuse a potential uncomfortable situation, or to avoid confrontation. Meant as an "innocent" possibility, not an accusation.

Exactly...I noted in my post above that this had been discussed before but I couldn't remember which thread it was in.
There is a homestead/house in that NE 1/4 ....
I also noted in the post above that there are online converters....I just gave another...it gives the same results.... :)

Anyone notice to the west of this...on that same road....there seems to be an auto dump....or a line up of equipment...hard to tell which ....but it is noticeable...Unfortunately...street view isn't available...only satellite from above...

Thanks for the detailed explanation! This is a learning curve for me, I was never good with the coordinates. I am trying to find a post that suggested the Evansburg area. I thought these coordinates would take me there. Not so. Hopefully I will find it or the original poster will know what I am talking about.

Well this was discussed a while back....and sillybilly was kind enough to show which thread....I knew we'd talked about it....it's out east in the province....close to where the L family is from IIRC... :)
Evansburg....that's just west of Edmonton isn't it? Isn't that where AL the twin or AL Jr has their business?

Yes, AL the twin had a business in Evansburg that is still a family run company. I am looking for how AL jr and AL sr work into that family business and how they worked themselves out of that business and where that money was re-invested and if they are still connected and if DG was somehow associated to this end of things.

Knock it off in here please.

If you see a post you disagree with then discuss it in a civil manner.

If you come across a post that you feel is way out of line or against TOS, please do not respond but use the triangle 'alert' button at the bottom left of each post.

Another alternative is the ignore feature.

Bickering on the thread though is not going to happen.

Thank you

Yes, Evansburg is west of Edmonton and Monitor is in the east of Alberta (AL/FL in Evansburg to the west and in the east is the auto business owned by other L relatives [cousins i think])

One more...Re-post from the wonderful Wondergirl (Thread #1):

One thing here on the wording. Alvin's brother Cliff uses the past tense. Just sayin'

Liknes had no doubt his brother Alvin had not abducted the grandchild. “He loved the child to death,” he said. “That’s his boy. There’s something not right here and we don’t know (what it is). “I sure hope they find the little guy and my brother and his wife.” (BBM)

http://www.calgaryherald.com/news/ca...542/story.html

I wonder if it's possible CL used it in the context that AL would never do anything to the little boy because "he loved (as in always has in the past, with an assumed 'still does') the child to death"? Speaking from the viewpoint of 'as he's seen it with his own eyes before', and not meaning it as one has ceased to be alive. I'm having difficulty explaining what I mean.

I came across this today. I am not sure if it has been posted already. Family from Monitor:

"Among those close connections is Veteran resident Elaine Ellerby, whose brother Alvin Liknes has been missing since June 30, along with his wife Kathryn Liknes and their five-year-old grandson, Nathan O’Brien.

Ellerby is the eldest of nine children, including Alvin, 66, and his twin, Allen. She was “like a mom” to the twins when they were growing up and working on the Ellerby farm, said Ellerby’s daughter, Brenda Stickel of Veteran.

The Liknes family has strong roots in Monitor. Liknes relatives still reside in the Monitor-Veteran area."

I have seen this before, but still good to see it again and remember who's who. Such a big family, and fairly close together in proximity compared to some families.

Repost from HulaMum (Thread #1 Pg. 14)

"Also, Dad gives his address on FB - I estimate it to be 20min. from the Liknes home. (for the pp who was wondering if it would make sense for Nathan to be at the estate sale, go home, and then be driven back to grandma and grandpa's)."

RO/JO live quite close to the Parkhill home, this was a discussion when it was unknown if Nathan was staying since the estate sale or not.

IIRC, someone was curious when the Parkhill home was sold to the lawyer. Repost from Wondergirl (Thread #1 Pg 15)

The Herald has compiled a timeline of the events leading up to the disappearance of five-year-old Nathan O’Brien and his grandparents, Alvin and Kathryn Liknes, who were reported missing on Monday morning.

December 5, 2013: Alvin Liknes sells his Parkhill home to a Calgary lawyer. He continues to live in the home with his wife, Kathryn.

June 27-29: Alvin and Kathryn Liknes hold an estate sale at their house. Signs on the front door say, “come on in!” Dozens of people cycle in and out of the home over weekend. Neighbours who chatted with the couple say they were talking about ‘downsizing’ and moving to Mexico. Cherri Hodgins, a friend of Kathryn Liknes, said the couple bought a condo there and had been planning to move for several months.

Not really anything discussed recently here in this post, but an interesting question. I don't think this was the situation, as where would KL had lived? Not Mexico or Evansburg alone, she would probably stay in Calgary close to JO/NO and according to everyone AL/KL were happy and had no problems, but definitely an interesting question to pose. Repost from LayzeeDayzee Thread #1 Pg.16

"Maybe they sold the home with intention to split equity proceeds and each go their separate ways........thus the diversely different stories about where relocating to. ?"
