Just wanting to clarify - I believe opening statements mentioned finding "small tooth" in the burn barrel. Now today there was mention of "tooth" or what looked to be a tooth in the hallway of Liknes home. I didn't see any reference to this being "small tooth". So, no confirmation yet of whose tooth/teeth were located.

This was the tweet I saw today that mentioned it was a small tooth:

Matthes said on his second time through, he found a bloody dumbbell in the garage and a small tooth in a hallway #Garland #yyc

I guess it is easy to see why they had hopes of NO being found alive, when blood wasn't found in the basement, and yet it was found in the upstairs spare bedroom... when JO had reported both NO and KL had been in the basement bed when she left around 11pm. They may have been able to quickly determine that blood from one of the upstairs bedrooms belonged to an adult female.

They weren't in the basement. They were on the second of four levels - the same level as the side door.

Police have referred to the side door being on the North and East side of the house, whereas I would put it on the South side. They seem to also refer to the main floor entrance (side door) as the basement. They need a common language or a diagram.

The pullout sofa is indeed in the basement of the home (the lowest level.) The side door is on the 2nd level with the garage, coat room and office.

Alexon says they found a shotgun in one of the closets of the Liknes home. Sheets, pillow from the master bedroom on the ground #Garland

Photos show blood on box spring of Liknes' bed, but none on mattress which did not have a fitted sheet on it. #garland

Mention of black bag with Nathan's Superman cape inside; mom Jennifer testified it was his proud estate sale purchase, 50 cents. #Garland

Breaks my heart!

"We believe those to be drag marks from the master bedroom to the top of the stairs," Alexon says of marks on hallway carpet. #garland

Jennifer O'Brien chuckled tearfully Monday when recalling Nathan's excitement over buying the old black purse. #garland

Do you have floorpans from CPS by any chance ... I'm confused about whether the pullout sofa is on the same floor as the side door.

Quick question - I'm in the UK and it's fairly common practice here, particularly in homes with children maybe, to keep a light on through the night. A bathroom light or a hallway light. Does this happen in Canada or do you generally all have a complete lights out?

It is common to leave a light on for the little ones...in my household anyways. I leave the hallway light on and my kids are 7 & 9.

The night gets dark for such a short time in Calgary in July, so a night light might not have been used, although they are commonly used otherwise.

Welcome Leeesh :welcome:

I think it's pretty common in a LOT of homes here, with or without children. :)

I don't have children but I have a nightlight upstairs and I always leave a light on downstairs when I go to bed.

Thanks Kamille :) I'm new here, so I'm just figuring out how things work for the last couple days, but big thanks to you and everyone else for posting all the tweets and all the comments and keeping everyone informed! 😊

It's Alberta. I think they hand out shotguns when you are born.

I'm thinking there was a brief struggle at the home, at least between Alvin and Garland. Teeth out probably from impact (as noted up thread). I'm hoping 'small tooth' is an adult bottom tooth as I doubt (hoping) not much of a struggle required with Nathan.

If syringes were used to debilitate them, I'm thinking at the farm not at the house. I think head injuries probably incapacitated them for the ride out to the acreage.

Since there was no blood in the pull-out couch room, I guess my question is whether Kathy and Nathan voluntarily moved upstairs to the spare room after JO and the baby vacated it, or were they taken up by DG?
