I guess someone else will be going over the forensic evidence from DG's computer and hard drive. I assumed it would be this guy.

It might be. The crown usually goes in order of the events and how things unfolded. Many witnesses are recalled at later times to give additional evidence.

Thinking about the wi-fi/router, etc. So, yes, they should have no problem finding out when it was powered down. But, did DG have a cell phone that connected automatically (or attempted to) in the minutes prior to the power down? They should easily be able to find that out also. Did he even have a cell phone?? I forget if we knew this at some point.

I obviously have little to no idea how trials and evidence/facts are handled but I would assume that the router off timing would be something that the prosecution would bring up during questioning of the officer so that the reasoning behind that time could be determined.

So they've taken a running off to Mexico theory off the table (passports) and with no financial activity, there's no real potential argument that the L's were/are whooping it up somewhere.

I'm feeling this case is going to be airtight. CPS is fantastic!
That said, what bizarre twist or attempted twist could the defense raise? OR, is DG just being an evil @ss by putting everyone through this only to pull an about face and change his plea to guilty at the end?

What could the defense possibly try?

I'm assuming that the defense team likely isn't going to be trying to get DG acquitted of all charges but possibly having the charges reduced. I could potentially see them trying to get first degree reduced to second degree or lesser in the killing of Nathan and maybe even Kathy. Maybe he wasn't offered a good plea deal and as such they are going to trial.

Yup I said something similar earlier in this thread. It's also how the suspect in Taliyah Marsman's abduction/murder was caught so quickly. CCTV is everywhere!
