Burn pit? Not burn barrell?

Yes...they focused on the burn barrel prior to July 12th, cooling it down with water and then emptying it on a tarp under tents and sifting through it. After that they they moved on to the burn pit where the barrel appears to have been emptied. They returned in March 2015 to once again go through the burn pit.

Right! Thanks Slebby. The initial 'hold' (48 hour?) when he was hit with the debit/credit card charges and then arrested when he returned to the acreage or was attempting to after being forbidden from doing that. He'd been staying at a hotel in Airdrie.

If you google Douglas Garland Arrest Photo images there are pics of him from every angle. I'm not seeing much for visible injuries except a spot on his forehead which may not even be an injury. Still looking...

That's the after he was charged with murder though, injuries would have likely healed by then

They were from after he was released, violated bail, arrested and formally charged with murder

Thanks for explaining that. That would also explain why none of the injuries that were mentioned today were visible on his face or hands in the pictures in the blue t-shirt.
