Why are you "not willing" to travel down that road? What evidence to support that would there be? Was he drinking? If he was there likely wouldn't be evidence of that either. The only way they could tell that is if they did a tox screen the day of the murders - and he wasn't in custody at that time. I don;t know that he was on meth, but you don't know that he wasn't.

Sure it is possible. He could have been on anything or nothing. I just think it is a huge jump to say he ran a crystal meth lab so he may have been on it at the time of the murders. There are assumptions that I make that I'm sure people don't agree with and that is fine. This assumption just doesn't ring true to me. If in the end I was wrong I'd be more than willing to come out and admit it.
