I'm out and about all day today as well. I'm hoping the verdict comes in earlier rather than later. I'm going to be the "catching up" girl today. BTW, I was so impressed by Sully that I decided to do scent training g with one of my labs and one of my Goldens. Tonight is our first class. [emoji4]

I've considered doing the same with my JadeDog!

While we watch the clock tick, here's the link to the first thread, when Alvin and Kathy, and dear little Nathan were first reported missing. Looking back is like reading a book when you know how the story ends. We were so hopeful.

Looking back, I think that the Calgary Police should offer a position on the force to Wondergirl.

By post number 54, she figured out the patent connection, and by post 159, she had figured out that the Liknes' could have been targeted for their business relationships, that Nathan was an "inconvenience", that a vehicle was involved, that a weapon and at least one person was involved, and that the sleepover was a last minute plan.

Whew!

Just read this out to my eldest daughter 24, and I was suddenly choked by tears ... I can't even put into words why.

And you don't even have to.

My old scruffy mixed breed (spaniel/lab/poodle) would've made a brilliant police dog. She found 3 lost guinea pigs and countless runaway Houdini Hamsters in her 17 years ❤ my subsequent 2 couldn't sniff out their own tails ;)

I'm hoping, really hoping for a verdict today. 5 pm here in the UK is 10am in Canada I think ...

Yes just gone 2pm here in UK right now.
When Court usually gets going there at 10am I'm usually just deciding what to make for dinner!

"He testified that by the end of the first day of the investigation, investigators had compiled a list of six persons of interest. They included a local sex offender, a man who had shot Alvin Liknes's daughter years before, a former house guest of the Likneses, two disgruntled former employees of Alvin Liknes, and Douglas Garland. "

Interesting to hear who the other initial POIs were

The man who shot Alvin's daughter in the breast implant was her boyfriend. The breast implant saved her.

Totally off topic but ... with an intense case in NC, all the locals got together after the trial to have coffee and discuss the case. Is there any interest in doing that with this case?

I'm just looking at Jenna Irmler - missing with Aspergers in Florida

Latest news on ADHD is that there is a physical difference between the brain of a child with ADHD and a child who does not have ADHD, however adults who had ADHD as children no longer have the same physical difference. Speculation (needs further research) is that it's a developmental delay that corrects itself by the time the person with ADHD is an adult.

""By the time they become adults, the differences in their brains are not significant anymore," she said. The study was paid for by the National Institutes of Health and was published online Wednesday in the journal, Lancet Psychiatry."

OK please don't go accusing me of starting any misinformation peeps, but is Blatchford insinuating that Nathan was definitely decapitated and it's debatable as to whether Alvin and Kathy were? TIA

Yep. Five gold stars for Wondergirl.
