126 guests ... please join in with your thoughts and any help you might be able to give in bringing Nathan and his grandparents back to their loved ones.

We don't bite ... honest

Unless perhaps it is a stolen vehicle or plates.

That's what I mean with my last post. Until identified I'm keeping an open mind. Not that I want to believe someone could be so heinous but after Tim bosma was found ..... I don't rule out any evils :(

for those having trouble accessing the presser on cbc earlier, this version might be helpful.

Thank you for this link. The truck was seen several time in the evening and through the night on the night in question. Is was on the road, not the back alley. It is heading towards the river. Based on maps, it looks like two left turns to MacLeod Trail, which is a direct route out of the city.

Regarding the ink/tag marks, wasn't that the purple marks that were luminol - specifically on the garage door and keypad opener?

Hope LE has checked surveillance from any car wash businesses that they can.

I think that the Calgary police are doing an excellent job so far. I have a feeling that there will be major developments in the case over the weekend.

...I wish I was as confident about the positive outcome. Hopefully Nathan and his grandparents are brought back, alive, to their families. Any other result will be devastating. :(

Hugs to the family and those who love them.

yes it was luminol and Macleod trail would lead to Deerfoot or Blackfoot so could be going anywhere in the city

I really hope this ends well but I have a feeling after today's confirmation that someone(s) been injured through a violent crime that they must be dead by now.

If the motive is robbery gone bad, or even if it isn't, why would you keep these people alive without asking for a ransom or otherwise. IMO they took the 3 to hide their crime and remove witnesses

What I find strange is if a "violent crime" occurred, in a quiet neighbourhood, where there are 3 victims, would one not expect there to be some noise, screaming, yelling, crying?

Looks to me like the house has a basement. If that's correct, possibly they were initially taken into the basement and whatever violent struggle happened there, and depending on how soundproof the basement is, the sound could have been muffled.

Wondering if perp/s might be seen buying band aids, or appear to be attending to possible wounds at pit stops?

"However, police remain hopeful the trio are still alive and still consider it a missing persons case, Staff Sgt. Doug Andrus said Friday afternoon.

All three would be in medical distress if they are still alive, police said."

bbm.

no they said they weren't sure who was hurt, and the evidence collected would take time to come back to determine if it was one, two or three of them that were injured.

Agreed. It's not unreasonable to think that the perps (I believe more than one) could have easily hid in the basement until the right moment to attack. I bet it's not difficult to take on 2 non-suspecting folks and possibly a sleeping child. All with the intentions to possibly get the estate sale monies. Maybe it went farther than they anticipated... Maybe they put up more of a fight than perps ever imagined.

If that truck had any part in it, I'd think the cab would have been crowded with at least three adults and a child (at least one of whom was injured severely by the sounds of it) and it doesn't look like there's a cover on the bed of the truck to possibly hide them in either.

I suggested earlier they likely covered them in back with a tarp, sheets or carpet...maybe LE knows this is missing from the house too.

But they would had to have been dead to have been in the bed of a pick-up truck. How else could they be "controlled". And why take dead bodies ... not like they can be of any further use. (Sorry to sound crass ... can't think of a nice way to say that) :(

I know...I was trying to avoid saying it too...but why take live bodies? Taking dead bodies means hiding evidence/DNA..if they in fact are cleaned up drag stains on the driveway than we know the killer(s) is at least trying to cover tracks.
