They ultimately decided not to offer a reward to keep the quality of the information coming in high. LE has already had to deal with misinformation (e.g., that AL was sighted in Brooks, which was found to be unfounded https://twitter.com/dcrHerald/status/485876840842543104/photo/1) Imagine if every Tom Dick and Harry started offering "tips" because they saw the reward as a $100k lotto...
