Either that, or maybe there was an altercation in the house, breaking the window. Forced entry would mean glass on the inside of the house, mostly, but an accident from inside the home would put most of the glass outside.

I don't see any broken glass on the ground in front of the window. I don't see any pieces of glass in the window frame either. My guess would be that the glass was removed because it held evidence ... perhaps blood spatter. The window frame is missing as well.

Anyone else notice the mud on AL's truck? You don't usually see mud like that from city driving. Wonder if he recently visited a rural Airdrie farm?

Yes, we did.... What I also noticed is the passenger side had mud, but the driver side did not, or at least not as visible as the passenger side.

What I also noticed is the hose on the East side of the home, closest to the Drivers side of the truck.. IMO, maybe there was a quick rinse down, but in a panic, didn't do the passenger side (furtherest from hose location)

I know July 1 has been stated earlier in the threads, but IMO it is unlikely that ALL contents were sold. Usually folks take a bit more time after a larage sale, all those people tromping round, trips to the dump or charities with unsold items, cleaning up the home for the new owners (i.e. the hoses were still there, chairs/planters still on the front porch). I've spent 2 weeks in an empty home waiting for furniture to arrive cross-country. Not the most comfy situation, but certainly possible.

Don't know, but we'll try to firm that up.

Lol me too SillyBilly. Just recently sold off everything in South Africa to return to Canada. The last couple of weeks were not comfortable. Still looking for the link but recall they sold the house to a lawyer in Dec 2013 and leased it back for 6 months. From The Observer, June 30 (struggling to copy link from my iPad) quote: The couple held an estate sale over the weekend — telling neighbours they had plans to move south, possibly to Mexico — however police aren’t sure if that is related to their disappearance.

Police are asking anyone who attended the sale to contact them.

Sherry Card was at the sale on Saturday and said things appeared normal. The couple looked to be in the process of moving, said Card, as belongings were packed up throughout the house.

“It was a typical garage sale, they were getting rid of most of their stuff and keeping some of it,” she said. “(Kathryn) seemed really nice, she didn’t seem to be in distress or anything.”:

IMO, this:

Indicates, that LE is grasping at anything to link DG. I am NOT convinced they have found anything, if they had of, he would have been charged by now and everything else found would be about building the case... Hate to say it, I think DG is NOT our guy (if there is a guy)

Locating the missing people would go a long way towards making connections.

I am starting to wonder myself if DG is their guy. I posted long ago that it's very possible that a perp(s) could take calculated steps and actions to make it look like DG were involved/the perp.........given his criminal history, connection to family, etc. Perhaps he was set up. IMO there are other not-so-savoury individuals connected with the L family (who he might even know, likely would) who should be looked at too. Who's to say someone didn't borrow DG's green truck and it wasn't even him driving it?

I wonder as well otto because I have located a photo of the home prior to crime investigators going through it thoroughly as noted by the garage door opener not having any crime dust on it as yet. Here you can see a definite reflection on the window casement area in question.

I am currently cross referencing kijiji photos, KL facebook page pictures and MSM pics to ascertain a floor plan of the home. Am I permitted to post? Reason being for the cross reference is that the photos on MSM show the curtains are clearly open on the main level of the split floor plan home so much so that you can see right across the main floor living and kitchen area (I determined living and kitchen area due to the pictures I have available and wish to post if permitted) therefore it is my opinion that the crime occurred either in the basement and/or in the area above the garage. I have some queries and thoughts about something but cant post as yet.

I believe a lot went on between the hours of 10pm and daylight, and that a junior-senior like DG would not have the stamina, or the physical strength to carry out the disappearance of 3 unwilling people, possibly transporting them on his own.
If he had a gun to someone's head, he would still have the logistical problem of moving the people.
Nowhere did I say I thought he had nothing to do with it.

54 is not that old! Plenty of 54 year olds still work in physical labor, farm, construction, etc. My dad is 70 and he still lifts weights and goes to the gym and climbs on the roof and up trees and all kinds of crazy stuff...so...I'm just getting upset about the ageism but certainly DG's age is not a factor. He is not that old for sweeping generalizations.

I wonder what happened to the glass. Police have said that there were no signs of forced entry. Could the glass have been removed as evidence?

The window was certainly in tact in the early days so maybe it was removed for investigation.

The mud is interesting but it is likely that the mud is associated with use of the western alley that leads to the Liknes garage in their backyard. The western alley is not paved and the weather for the week of June 23 to July 1 was quite rainy which commonly leads to fairly large, muddy, puddles in unpaved alleys. If you look at Google streetview from 38A Ave down that alley you can see various puddles from previous rain storms.

The image provided in #168 of this thread show the pane of glass in the window? perhaps the window was opened for air flow into the home when the investigators were going throught the house.....JMO

In this photo of Liknes residence it clearly looks to me that the large front window on the left hand side has no screen or glass in the window casement. You can clearly see the reflections on the adjoining glass but not on the left hand casement. It appears as though you can actually see the window curtains clear enough to touch them.

Just noticed the garage door, I realize it can be luminal but there are a few other substances that react to blood with that colour ( just looked it up). Not sure if that is what it is though.

Chris Franklin @crisfran
Police contacted 3 landfills day after disappearance of 3 people asking for trash to be segregated. #yyc #cbc #amberalert

Hmmm, so LE is going backwards then. Maybe because they are not finding much with DG?

I don't think that is a window cranker opening style casement window. I think it is simply a separate section of the window frame casement and is now missing that section of glass for whatever reason likely LE took it away. Reason for the two separate glass sections without a cranker open style window is often times the glass would be too large for the support of the glass. To me there is only one section of glass that opens and that is the right hand side of the front window. You can clearly see that the plastic casement around that area is larger than the left side section.

I don't believe it was broken during crime as the glass would be evident on ground and in window casement as the news media took many photos during preliminary stages of the investigation and nothing was seen.

I wonder if the Cardston cemetery has any surveillance cameras? Most cemeteries are having them installed due to vandalism. I only ask because this is the starting point if you will that brought DG to this point in time in his life.

Just noticed the garage door, is that luminol?

Don't which pic you are referring to. There are pics that otto did with increased red saturation of markings that appear to be blood, and other pics with purple markings where luminol has been used.

I'm bothered by the #FindNathan and #BringNathanHome hashtags that I see on twitter. There are three people missing here.
