Exactly.
Just the other day, I was coming home from work, and there were a couple fireworks being set off.
I don't live in Calgary, so I know it wasn't Stampede related. But where I live, fireworks go off just because.
Me too ILP. OT - Where is MH370? ;)

According to Dangeross the drag marks were confirmed to NOT have been blood, but some other organic matter. I find it very difficult to believe there could be brain matter without a significant amount of blood.
I have read though that blood (no mention of anything like brain matter) was found inside the home. While the streaks outside the home have not yet been confirmed to be blood or any other bodily fluid, to my understanding.
A cleaning agent with a body stuffed in a suitcase possibly?

What would you say if you were the police and were not certain of anything? You would say at least one person is in medical distress and we are hopeful just like they did.

I believe they said more than that.. I will search it out and post...

So very very sad. :(

Back when the farm was first being searched there was some talk about the cadaver dogs searching the area. I distinctly remember one of the reporters tweeting that a dog sat down in the middle of the field and the area was marked. Another web-sleuther pointed out that when a cadaver dog does this it is a BIG deal. I tried to search the thread for the post(s) but couldn't locate it. Does anyone have any insight on this and what the flags and markers could mean?

I assume a cadaver dog would be able to differentiate between an animal scent as opposed to that of a human ?

No disrespect intended towards the deceased or their families.

Its OK.. I have been in your shoes when I started posting on the Jodi Arias case.

I just don't think the LE would endanger hotel staff by requesting them to boot DG out. Also, maybe...just maybe DG called the police himself and turned himself in.
Disagree. They let him go because they had to. Someone made a mistake, and I don't know if it's CPS or DG.

Again we have to ask; what is your source for this information? Do you have links?

Second that. We need a link or the mods will delete the post. Thanks!!!

Devastating news, even if most of us "theoretically" expected it. My heart simply cannot accept it.

My heartfelt condolences to the O'Brien family, the Liknes family and to everyone who loves and cares about them.

Rest in everlasting peace

Alvin :rose:

Kathryn :rose:

and sweet, young, innocent Nathan :rose: :rose: :rose:

What sort of fluid other than blood would "confirm" a death? I'm at a loss as to what it could be.

Also if you remember the Elizabeth Bain case, her body was never found but police knew she was dead because of the type of blood found in her car

Repeated for anyone who missed it:
Crime was June 30, and Canada Day fireworks and stampede start July 1.

Not necessarily, people were setting off fireworks near me all weekend.

Look at point #3

. They still consider the disappearance a missing persons case.

Police remain optimistic that they will find Nathan O’Brien and the Liknes couple alive.

“We have no indication whatsoever to indicate anything other than that, so the investigation continues,” Brookwell said. He acknowledged that the violent struggle that occurred at the Liknes home before the disappearance is “a concern,” but said police remain hopeful.

yes but the LE also said they were still looking for the green truck when infact they already had it, so can't really take everything they said for what it's worth!

Yes, please - where did this come from?

AND:

Dangeross, believe you're the one on the calgarypuck forum, who said you saw the green truck, as well as here on WS. And, I believe you posted something to the effect that the POI - now, a suspect, was not the person you saw in the truck, when the first picture/portrait came out. Can you give us any description of who you saw, including gender, approx age, clothing, hat, glasses, if any, etc. Curious.

Someone earlier posted, they think he was framed and/or set-up.

I'm thinking holy smokes, when I hear he's been re-arrested, and am shaking my head (somewhat in disbelief as well as in horror) that one person did all this.

After checking with the mod, I cannot post another site I found regarding the 3 missing family members, due to the nature of that discussion, but suffice to say, that some kind of description is given of a person, who does not fit the current suspect. I'm hoping that's okay to say, mods?

Don't want to inflame or incite anyone, just would like more information and answers.

The article you are quoting is dated July 9 2014. More has been obtained since then.

And it seems the reason for him being at the ranch was that he was thrown out of the hotel he was staying in.

I remember reading one news source (I don't know if I can find it again quickly or otherwise), but it said that "an incident" occurred at the hotel, and he was asked to leave. And, the police chief in the news conference said, he was found "near" the Airdrie acreage IIRC.
