This is the photo of the short wall to the left of the main large living room window (looking from the road towards the house). Directly behind that wall is the front door foyer entrance. Enlarged you can see an entrance table.. Directly behind that wall with the side table would be the room with the windows on the landing of the front steps of the house.

There is a video from MSM where the reporter camera man zoomed in when two LE were talking and the front door was open. You can see the wall and the corner of the love seat very easily. If I can find the video or anyone else, please post. Thanks otto. Four level split confirmed.

I'm not trying to be snarky here but genuinely curious, what is the importance of the layout of the home in all of this?

When my great gramma died, family members were responsible for moving everything out of her house.
For some people, it's a grieving process.

Gosh, you are so right. I remember working together with my mom and my sister, dealing with the things from a relative's home. We worked at it for weeks, cleaning, selling, donating, hauling. It was so wearying, but definitely part of the grieving process.

I think originally the purpose of determining the layout of the home was to have a better understanding of what may have occurred and where. Of course with the new revelations of DG and the charges, I think WS is just trying to make sense of things.

I have just spent over an hour catching up on all the posts on here... It was on one of the closed threads and I don't remember which one... It was a transcript of someone talking about the charges that have been laid against DG... I figured with just the murder charges and no kidnapping charges they didn't think that they were removed from the house alive but then in this interview he mentioned it.
I was wondering if they could later on add those charges and if they could possibly be waiting until they have enough evidence to back that up? I have felt from the beginning of the amber alert that AL was murdered at the house and the other two done afterwards. (especially with the drag marks on the driveway, that is unless AL was the only one that was heavy enough t need to drag and not carry... just thought of that as I was writing this...)
Also in regards to the black SUV, does anyone know if the police took it or if it is still sitting where it is seen on the pictures . That would help us know if it is evidence linked to the case... I do agree that it sounds suspicious.

Also as to the post mentioning Drumheller (Alberta badlands) we (yes I live here) are actually 45 minutes from Airdrie if you know the back roads. The town and immediate area is very busy with people hiking and exploring this time of the year but there is also a lot of area with coulees, caves, hills and such that would make for very isolated hiding places. It would be very hard to carry three bodies to hide though and doesn't seem very likely to me. My first thought was more towards Canmore and the area in the hills that way. Anyone who knows Alberta knows there is a vast amount of space to search and cover. I only hope and pray for those conducting the search and hope there will find something soon so the family will get some closure...

Thank you for your insights re the badlands. I probably didn't articulate all my thoughts but I wasn't thinking of bodies per SE - remains which may even have been ashes. I just thought a twisted mind would see that as the ultimate punishment given the fact that Northern Pressure Systems Inc has an address in a Drumheller. This is the company that took the disputed patent to market. I'm trying to get inside his head and that is proving very difficult. I appreciate your insights and anything you might add to this possibility.

Disappearance/Homicide Investigation Remains On-Going
We are grateful for the overwhelming community support in relation to the ongoing investigation into the disappearance of Nathan O’Brien and Kathryn and Alvin Liknes.
Investigators have a 30-day search plan in effect that is intelligence driven, which cannot be shared outside of law enforcement in order to protect the integrity of the investigation. We are systematically searching locations that have a high likelihood of locating evidence utilizing officers from the CPS, RCMP and provincially sanctioned civilian search organizations. We have and will continue to dedicate as many resources as necessary to complete what has become a highly sensitive, and complex, investigation.
At this time we do not require assistance from the public in relation to searching public property, however we appreciate the outpouring of community support.
Investigators continue to ask private land owners and businesses with rural property to check their property for anything suspicious.
We thank the public, especially the residents of Airdrie, for their tremendous support and tireless efforts to aid in the investigation.
If the investigation reaches a point where public assistance is required, we will reach out through our local media, government and social media.

That address would indicate a rural mailbox and and not a physical address.

So what is that corresponding area on the map?

Anyone knows his physical address?

Who should clean up the crime scene and remove the contents ... the home owner? I suppose the home owner would do it, but everything will be removed for garbage disposal, and the associated costs will be filed against the estate. The executor of the estate is the person responsible for looking after the estate, which includes all costs associated with the death (funeral, crime scene clean-up), and house contents.

A few years ago some crazy guy locked himself in my sisters house, shot it up and killed himself in her bedroom. He was a complete stranger. It was all covered by insurance of the home owner (she was renting at the time).

So, in the responsibility of who actually cleans - I am certain the insurance would cover it.

I think it is in some of the earlier posted maps? I recall seeing it as a township; range format. Rural addressing is changing in Alberta but I think it's a process.

In the grid system, the township lines run east/west and range roads run north/south. So, in the addy of 273149 RR 291, 273 is the Twp line and 291 is the Range Road, so the property is located north of Twp Line 273 on RR 291

Clear as mud? :floorlaugh:
