Welcome JCK. I respectfully disagree. I'm sure it was investigated. Even so it would really prove nothing IMO.

I'm sure it was investigated as well Bravo. But if it did come out that there was a connection it would prove something. It would prove that most of the witnesses were lying under oath.

Considering Amber was first at a house party; then in a public taxi; then in a crowed night club—this is not as unexpected as Mr. Beswick is trying to make it sound. Imo.

Another male's DNA was found on clothing binding wrists of Amber Body

Truth was there any instructions given or expert witness testimony that would explain a little bit about what circumstances are needed to pass DNA along from one person to another. For example, were the jury told that DNA can be transferred by brushing up against another person? I don't recall but can see something like that being left out of the tweets.
If they were not told this then I can see some of them putting a lot more weight into this fact. Some of them may find "unknown DNA" to be misleading.

This case has me very worried. I sincerely hope that the case was brought together better in the court room than it was in the news/tweets. I hope that justice for Amber is brought.

:praying:

I hate the waiting!!

I can speak to attending trial vs. relying on tweets. Trust me there is much missed with tweets. Reporters just cant get it all in. Then there was much heard outside the presence of the jury when I was in the Courtroom (not this trial)

I hear what you are saying. IMO in most cases there can be some "things" that can lead someone to think there is a huge nefarious plot happening. In my experience it just isn't typical. In "most" cases of a sexually based crime there is only one perp. I believe given Amber was found nude. Bound and hair found on the head board this murder also had a sexual component. All IMO of course.

Approx. 10 minutes to go. If the Jurors do not request evening deliberations then we wait and see what tomorrow brings.

Still waiting at #Pictou court. If a verdict isn't reached by 6pm, the jury will resume deliberations in the morning.

Not sure why but I couldn't copy Beswick tweet name??? Anyhoo seems Falconer doesn't need a whole lot of motive to murder :banghead:

So we're allowed to say it now- in 1998 Falconer and Fraser Kennedy killed a cabbie for $65 and a pack of smokes

This is a small town. I would say everybody has mutual FB friends with most people in the same age range. Not to mention that after Amber went missing everybody in town added mason as a FB friend.
Not disagreeing with your statement just saying that if you came to that conclusion because of FB connections it can be very misleading.
BBM - Excellent point.

Yes, with the defense helping to foster this belief and the media acting as their cheerleaders, I can see your point.

Regarding the BBM, I'll keep my eye out for something specific and will link right away if I find anything.

I believe this must have been well explained by the expert during his testimony, and possibly the judge touched on it this morning in his instructions.

Did the jury understand it? Now, we have the important question. :please:

Yes, and if I remember correctly went to play pool as if nothing ever happened.

Nice to see you here, Cocomod!

Hope you are feeling better!

You are not alone in your concern.

I feel confident in the Crown's case; but if the jury doesn't want to connect the dots, Amber's due justice may walk out the door.

I believe it's all there, though; should the jury seriously seek to do justice.

BBM - yes. And the reporters weren't even allowed to tweet about anything that went on when the jury was not present.

I agree. Plus there was semen found, although it was too degraded to obtain a DNA profile from.

I'm happy to see a verdict wasn't reached today. As much as I hate the wait. No rush to judgement. By all appearances Falconer received a fair trial which he and every one of us are entitled to. Jurors should go thru the evidence methodically. Despite my opinion being he is guilty as he** LOL.

It seemed surreal. I remember thinking ok I'm sitting here and I can hear it. If I'm not in the Courtroom I cant LOL. I totally get the why of it tho.

I thought the Crown provided quite a good motive--which they obtained from a text sent by Falconer to his good buddy, Fred: "my adventure."

Like the prosecutor said--an adventure to him, a mere lark; but to Amber's parent's it was their worst nightmare.

And to Amber? What would it have been? More horrific than any 19 year old can begin to imagine. How that child suffered. :(

But it was Falconer's adventure--after which he enjoyed some formerly misplaced 'smoke.'

Although he apparently had come prepared with his 'pipe.'

I hate the fact that Falconer stated (jailhouse call) that prison was "home" and comfortable to him. Words to that effect. Wish we had another choice. The one that comes to mind I cant post :floorlaugh:
