On June 9, 1968, a male was recovered from the Detroit River just below Fighting Island, Amherstburg, Anderdon Township. His postmortem weight was recorded as being 180 lbs and his length was measured at 5'10", however, these measurements may not represent his actual living weight and height due to postmortem changes noted at autopsy. It is believed that he had been in the water for several months prior to recovery.
