Anita Florence Thorne, 49, of Prince George, BC
Anita was last seen on the morning of Wednesday, November 19th, 2014 in Prince George, British Columbia, Canada, at the SuperSaver Gas on 950 Victoria Street. She was then seen going through the adjoining Tim Horton's drive-thru.
She was reported missing that same evening. The next day, RCMP discovered her 2013 Ford Escape, (Black with camo elkhorn sticker on the back window) at the Willow River rest stop next to Highway 16, approximately 35 km East of the city. The vehicle was unlocked, with her purse visible inside, and nothing apparently missing. At the time of her disappearance it is believed she would have had her keys, cigarettes, lighter and cell phone on her person. She did not answer any calls made to her cell phone by people trying to locate her.
Anita is described as Caucasian, 5'2" tall, weighing 145 lbs, with brown eyes and brown shoulder length hair. Anita was wearing a white hoodie with a black puffy vest, and with her brown hair up in a bun.
There was a four day ground and air search lead by the RCMP, including PGSAR, K9s, a helicopter and fixed wing airplane, with nothing being found. The search was then called off, and no sign of Anita has been found since.
