#MISSING: April Lee-Ann Christine Parisian, 45, of Spuzzum BC. was last seen by a family member around April 7 or 8, 2020 in the 38000-block of Front Street, Spuzzum BC

She's described as an Indigenous female, 5'7", 133 lbs with blonde hair and blue eyes. RCMP and her family say they're concerned about Parisian's well-being.

B.C.’s homicide investigation team has been called in to assist in the search of a missing Spuzzum woman after a man was found dead from self-inflicted wounds inside her camper truck, police confirm.

April Lee-Ann Parisian has been missing from the Fraser Canyon community of Spuzzum for over a week.

Although RCMP aren't identifying the deceased male, family indicate that April's boyfriend (according to her FB she was engaged ) had driven the vehicle into the Fraser Valley. This does not bode well for April

“After a short dialogue, they ultimately located the man inside with what is believed to be a self-inflicted wound,” RCMP said.

IMO, sounds as though LE were maybe looking for him in relation to her disappearance. They don't just drop by random vehicles and have dialogue with the occupants.

I am very familiar with that entire area. Sadly, IF April is deceased (which I strongly suspect), it would not surprise me she would never be found. Hope I'm wrong.

There’s so many places out there we used to camp by the vedder for a weekend or a night so many back country trails there’s still a lot of undeveloped land ..I really hope they find her but there’s so many places to look.<modsnip: not MSM> I think they are searching at noon today her sister is coordinating searches . I hope the find her lost in the woods but it’s sounding doubtful

Yeah with all the affiliation violence it’s really a hard call. From what I hear search is meeting at the white bridge by chilliwack road and vedder park. They were searching all Over the place this weekend by manning park . Would vedder mountain still be to rough for that truck ?

I wonder if there's been a tip or what's taking the search to Manning. That's quite a way east of Hope when the deceased in her vehicle were located so far west. I don't think Vedder Mountain is all that rough. People live up there and I was up there a few years back in my Jeep and iirc, the road was paved as far as I went. There is also Sumas Mountain on the north side of the freeway.

Spuzzum is a tiny community on Hwy #1 up in the Fraser Canyon. Possibly April picked up a hitchhiker or met someone in the community and they asked for a lift. There is an unsolved murder of a woman from a few years ago in nearby Yale (another small community in the Fraser Canyon with Hwy 1 running through it, 10 miles south of Spuzzum). Lady named Zenia Moorehouse was found dead in or outside her home. AFAIK, her murder has never been solved and there was very little media coverage. Coincidentally, both April and Zenia lived on "Front Street" in their respective tiny communities.

They have searches going on all over . There’s just so many places . I’ve never heard of spuzzum before this . I guess little groups of people are searching all over from mission to chilliwack to hope. With out anything to go on it’s going to be like finding a needle in a haystack. I’m thinking if this guy was as paranoid and delusional like the people were saying I don’t think he’d travel the #1 highway maybe the #7 or something like that . I hate all the murdered and missing starting again out here. Jmoo

Ughhhh I’m in that group I really hope they find her. They are posting in all the quad Jeep off road groups for help in the search.It’s April’s birthday today to. Her family is searching so hard for her. I’m glad it got on the news last night . But the more time that passes just ughhh

Odd that she was missing but her truck was there, yet Paris waited until April 15 to report her missing. IMO, if someone I know is missing and their vehicle is gone, I would think they perhaps just took some time away to blow off steam or whatever and might wait a while to report them as missing. If their vehicle was still there however, I would think they were either in the area, possibly injured, or had possibly been abducted ... in which case I think the average person would contact LE rather quickly.
