I've been thinking a lot about Audrey's car. It looked so pristine in the pic at the shopping mall I was wondering:

- where did she have her car washed?

- did she wash it herself?

- did PK wash it?

- did it have leather seats?

- did it have 19 inch wheels/tires? (making it more fast and more sports-car like)

- did she put snow tires on in the winter months? if so, where did she store the summer tires?

- what did keep inside the vehicle? ID? insurance? an extra set of house keys? ice scrapers? anything which could have been used as a weapon?

As far as it *seems* right now, the car really is a huge motive. But then again, I'm not so sure..........:blushing:

ETA:

The pic was placed above as I was posting. It looks to me that the car *probably* had a V8 engine (because it has an air-scoop raised strip on the hood) and 19-inch wheels. It no doubt would have had dual exhaust, again because of the V8. All things VERY sports car and very much loved by sports car enthusiasts!!

Did she keep one garage door opener on the visor and one in the glove box ... or did she keep one in her home and one on the visor?

I'm not at all certain what the motive was!

1. The CAR????????????????

2. Financial???????????

3. Anger/Hatred???????????????

4. Revenge?????????????

5. Sex???????????????

6. Greed???????????????

7. Knowledge of something????????????????

8. Belongings (money-wise or intellect-wise)??????????????????

9. A lunatic on the loose out for some thrills????????????????

:twocents:

I still say we're missing something here.

:drumroll:

Jealousy/envy may come under another banner, but might also be in a category of its own.
Audrey seemed to be a whiz at everything she put her mind to, she was even brilliant at predicting her own awful end, brilliant in her choice and timing to send the bitter-sweet song, Amazing Grace.
Audrey had her mind, dogs, interests, friends, home, dream car, financial security, respect and clever people to help her if she wanted.
Someone was very bothered by all that.jmo.

Come to think of it.......why didn't she give one garage opener to PK rather than the garage code?

Usually there are openers mounted to the wall of the garage too. I only got that and one opener for my car with the one I got. If it has a code there would be no reason for PK to carry around an opener, it would be inconvenient.

With respect, I must disagree. We have a wall mounted code thing and 2 garage openers. But, we have two people here with two cars. So, my husband and I both need a garage opener. And we both know the code.

The garage OPENER is very convenient if it's pouring rain and a person wants to make a mad dash for the interior of the garage rather than standing in the rain punching in the code.

If PK had a remote opener, he could start to open the garage door while still in the warmth of his car. By the time he'd parked the car, the door would be fully open and he'd be able to walk in out of the rain/snow/heat/etc.

It's so disappointing not to hear anything about this investigation. Is it still active/assigned? Does anyone know?

Our house had a keypad, along with two openers, one for each car, along with an open/close button beside the door in the garage, which was access door to inside the house.

We always used that door when we were going out in the car and we never locked that door, just used the garage door, but when we went to bed, we always locked that door going into the garage.

I wonder if AG kept her door from the garage into the house locked when she went out or when she went to bed.

I find it strange that a 16 year-old boy starts hanging out at a 67 year-old woman's house.

I don't mean to suggest anything necessarily untoward, but I do find it odd.

Not really lots of teens mow lawns and do yard work for extra money. When I was single years ago I had a teen boy mow my lawn. I didn't even own a lawn mower. I was glad to pay someone to do it cheaply.

I doubt Audrey had room in her garage for PK to pull his car in too. Just a feeling, with her being a collector.

Has this been discussed or posted here?

Google the source blog and have a look around. Any thoughts?

Yes, one strange coinkydink ... not on the Tesh blog, but the Pilgrim group meet is at a church held in the Timothy Christian School on the same Toronto street where Millard had a property listed with his phone number (supposedly listed for a friend, but not sure whether he lived there at any time).

ETA: Scratch that ... I jumped the gun ... same street name, but one is in Toronto, the other in Oakville

IIRC, PK had said that Audrey visited his work and let it be known that she was looking for help around her house.

I didn't mean that PK would park his car inside the garage too. I only meant that IF he'd had a remote garage opener, he wouldn't have to bother with the keypad. The garage door would already be open; he could park OUTSIDE of the garage right behind Audrey's car.

A good example is this: holding the cake in one hand and punching in the code with the other. Wouldn't it have been easier to have the garage door already OPEN as he drove up to the garage?

Quoted from Pink Panther:

<<< I find it strange that a 16 year-old boy starts hanging out at a 67 year-old woman's house. >>>

Yes, I've thought of that as well......long ago.

We have a young guy (late 20's) who mows our lawn and clears our snow. But I do not send him e-mails, go to his wedding, know his education, know his wife, give him the garage code, etc. If a workman needs the garage to be opened for the hose or something, he rings the doorbell and asks me to open the garage. Simple. No extra-friendly relationship develops.

I does seem odd.......

But you have family, Audrey really didn't. I can see how she might feel close to him and his wife.

I expect that AG, being a single woman, purchased a garage door opener that came with a single remote - no need for two when she lived alone. Possibly such as this one http://www.homedepot.com/p/Chamberlain-1-2-HP-Chain-Drive-Garage-Door-Opener-HD200D/100431667?N=as5u#specifications

But didn't she have a double garage door set? We have that and our two remotes open either one door or the other. Not both!! And the code only opens ONE garage door. In order to have the code open the other garage door, we'd have to set it to a different code.

I forget, did Audrey have a double garage door?

:blushing:

Oh and speaking of 'having family' I wonder who did LV's lawn/snow work. Who did the lawn/snow work for the woman across the street from Audrey? I mean LF. Maybe her son, but LV doesn't have a son......does she?

I think there was a double garage door, but only having one car, I think it would have been quite practical for AG to have just one opener on the side where she regularly parked the car. Presumably, if/when she opened the other door, it could have been done from the inside and manually, without an opener? perhaps to access yard equipment, etc?

However, even if AG did have a second opener/remote, it appears she did not give a remote to PK, as he indicated that he used the garage door code to enter. Perhaps him not having a remote was an oversight; perhaps the 2nd remote did not work for some reason; perhaps he had his own garage door remote on his visor and did not want a 2nd one there as well.

I have the code for more than one family members' garage doors, but it has never occurred to me that I should have a remote for any of them... and I wouldn't want any more, in addition to my own, cluttering up my visor. JMO

Just read this comment by singer Joni M and was reminded of Audrey...

http://www.cbc.ca/news/canada/story/2013/06/10/f-joni-mitchell-behind-the-scenes.html

" she wonders why people always ask her this question about being reclusive, and about other labels people have tied to her.

“Not that I have an aversion to labels. I have an aversion to being mislabeled. Here’s a label I’d accept: I’m an individual. I’m someone who can’t follow, and doesn’t want to lead.”

IIRC, early in the case, there was a picture of (LE officer?) standing at AG's open garage door. You could see a window in the garage and it looked like the window was above the parking space (east?) to the right.

IIRC, it looked clear on that side of the garage and at the time, I remember wondering what side of the garage AG parked her car, as we were trying to determine where she would have been found when PK opened the garage door using the code, as we only knew she was laying beside her car.

This is still unclear to this day.
