IMHO, people may know a lot more than they think they know on this case. AG is portrayed as a recluse, but she liked golfing/bridge and socialized a couple times a week. That doesn't sound very hermit like to me. IMO, AG was a brilliant woman who was utilitarian in her thinking and I truly believe that for her to have LV as her sole benefactor meant she thought LV really needed it. That it would make LV's life better, otherwise, I would see AG leaving some here and some there to the people who were her coffee friends etc. I just feel that would be more in line with someone of AG's nature. LV's house certainly looks nice enough. Where did LV work? Her mom passed away unexpectantly in 2010? (according to obit) Some people have the worse luck JMHO

"It has been hard to focus on anything," she said.

Sounds like there was a lot to do in 5 day's time...

JMHO, but "Private in a very big way" What would that really mean? I thought it was interesting that LV didn't know AG had a friend in the same neighborhood as her. And Pink..with a lack of focus and lack of sleep-I'm surprised she didn't wait until all the dust settled and she was under less stress. That was a strange article...MOO

I think that the lack of information from LE is astounding considering that two years have passed and Audrey's case appears to have gone stone cold. Have any of you who have contacted them with information heard anything back at all???

One thing that may be confusing LE a bit: there is TOO MUCH motive and too many motives.

LV's house at time of the murder who was living on the street? I didn't figure this out someone on WS did. Now that leads back to the university/science angle.

Can they really be all involved surely not?

The idea that has been raised of one person or faction being aware of and trying to pin it on an another perhaps makes the most sense. I think it was 2SoccerMom who said if it was a largish conspiracy surely somebody would crack I mean that makes sense.

The easy route is of course to follow the money and ask who benefited. i feel terrible for Audrey I mean what treachery!

In reading all of your posts tonight, the conclusion (for me) is that MONEY/PROPERTY was the motive. Not the car.

I'm having not-so-good feelings about LV and the V family.

:maddening:

Oh, and WHY was AG cremated so quickly? WHY did LE release the body for cremation so fast? WHO ordered the cremation? Did AG say anything in her Will about cremation? (I know some religions require the body to buried within 24 hours.......But......)

:scared:

Good Night all! Here's hoping something comes through soon!

Woodland, was the actual will available to the public? If so, wouldn't it be the same for an addendum or extension?

Yes the Will is a public document - that is why I was able to obtain a copy. Any additional docs regarding probate procedure will be available to the public as well.

One thing to keep in mind if looking - was probate complete? If not, would that make the docs filed somewhere different to a probated Will where probate was complete/finished?

I am not up to date on Audrey's case. I didn't know LV inherited her estate.

I am not sure there should be sleuthing going on, just because the woman was named in the will. I.get the whole follow the $ thing, but, LE has said very clearly that it was a sadistic, sexual crime.

Usually, from my experience, a will has to be probated to allow for the sale of property. Real Estate transactions often contain a "probate" clause. IMO, the Will was probated on March 25/11-the date title was transferred to LV and then on to the new buyers. Here's a good source http://estatelawcanada.blogspot.ca/2010/05/does-every-will-have-to-be-probated.html

Property records show that AG did not own the property jointly with anyone, so it would be treated as an asset in the Will. IMHO, that was an extremely fast probate but I'd love to get a legal opinion on that. Perhaps if LV, in her grief hadn't felt compelled to clear out AG's house with such haste, bank statements etc would have been found. To clear out a house, that a person has lived in for decades, in a single day, is mind boggling. It would have been a straight to the dumpster scene.

This article shows that on Feb 11/11, the property had already been sold- and LV says "its a relief, especially for those who live in the neighborhood" http://www.thespec.com/news-story/2157784-man-faces-murder-charge-in-slaying-of-retired-teacher/

I have had no return call from LE since I left a message for the detective listed for AG's case. Maybe that is not unusual? Maybe he would just take the info I left and not acknowledge my call? I don't know.

ETA - and here is why, most likely... according to this article, the same detective is in charge of case in the news now, the body discovered near Binbrook this week - http://www.thespec.com/news-story/3851465-clairmont-we-are-not-angry-we-are-in-pain-/

Please read ALL of our posts since you stopped following the case. LV has a nephew and he raises questions......for us.

And I've also heard nothing back from the crime reporters at CBC and at CP24. But that doesn't bother me.....at least I feel good about notifying them as GT did with LE.

Have you guys ever been able to find any information that confirms AG's first (Bohnart) and second (Blake) marriages? Is this something that one can look up at City Hall or online somewhere? (I've searched ancestry but have found no documentation of these marriages.)

We need more info about the marriages I think we know very very little.

This case needs a P.I. official or otherwise. There have to be still a lot of people around who knew Audrey. Needs an organized person to start phoning around to the coffee klatch people what do you think what do you know? Who do you think can help? The media articles just skim the surface. Very minimal work went into them. Ask among young people in Ancaster area what do you think? What do you know?

By the way I don't think the sketch looks like JV would be glad to be wrong.

You or another poster mentioned Christmas: I remember reading that an attendee made Audrey uncomfortable? Was it the year of her murder or a previous year anyone know?

Unfortunately, we have no information about the marriages apart from what was written in one article (a fabulous article no less) about AG's life and death. I have not been able to find any relevant information online about her marriages at all. Would this information be publicly available? (ie. City Hall) if one wanted to inquire?

ETA - The author of the article I mentioned above is Jon Wells.

Still keeping an eye out for "random stranger" because " young and close" might be both.

http://www.thespec.com/news-story/3838337-suspicious-man-reported-on-puslinch-trail/

" Police say that between May 28 and June 11 they have received three reports of a man who made inappropriate, sexual comments to women walking along this trail in the Puslinch Tract area which is frequented by hikers and cyclists.

The man is described as being five feet eight inches tall and weighing between 160 and 170 pounds. He has a long face with a prominent nose and spoke with an accent"

Different directions:

- do you think Audrey gave birth during the FIRST marriage?

- would that FIRST husband (or child) come back to 'seek justice'?

- or was there a miscarriage and the FIRST husband felt 'lured into marrying her' type of thing hence, revenge?

Trying to find the darned motive here.!!
